Skipping and rollback out-of-the-box make many games better. Especially the ones with boring repeating scenes and stupid mini-games like "guess all the 5 right answers or wait for this event whole next week".
But I doubt that only new engine could make LM playable without walkthrough...

It's late in the game, when the MCs sister gets stolen by his douchebag boss. Some of the stuff is avoidable if you don't want her to become a total whore, but some is not. There was no NTR tag on this game when it was first being made until enough people complained and it got put on there. Not sure if it is still on there or not.
Anyway, it's still a while away for the remake, but it would be nice if it could be changed to completely preventable, but the remake would still need to fix a bunch of bugs and endless grinding with a better hint system or in game WT to be worth playing.
Wasn't Unity used for AAA porn games? There are also many famous non porn games that used that Engine. I know about Unreal vs Unity challenge...but Ren'Py? Even the developer of masterpiece like Holiday Island said "sorry I can't do that feature because I am using Ren'Py, I have to manually place/redraw everything".

So after i played it, i think now it is a waste of time to play it again. There is not much content for now. Maybe in 1 year or 2 when the rest is implemented and the controls worked over.
Now it looks like that you need cheats and a wt to get further, just like the original. So i´m out for now!
ps: i don´t want to acuse FED of anything bad, but the lack of answers here and on patreon let me think that he just seek a way to earn a bit money. So he will milk some guys and never finish it (like some other projects he not finished). My opinion, may be wrong (hope so)! But his sentence from the Dev Notes "However, I do have other projects in mind that require me to have a decent amount of supporters to be able to take them on." tell me that he won´t finish this and other´s too. And the "decent amount of supporters" makes me skeptical.

I'd gladly play a preferably VN-like remake or at least a game where you are given obvious directions of which room to visit/what to do next. With obvious indications of unwatched scenes and points gained.

That would be awesome, but I don't think that's what this will be. It seems like just a straight port with no changes to game mechanics or content.
Though I hear someone else is also working on a Lucky Mary Renpy remake as well. Maybe they will make a better one and actually fix the game.

Playing this version quickly reminded me why I didn't like the first one. Random clicking of rooms to try and figure out what you can do. Day 1 the mc finishes work and then wants to stretch his legs. So he wanders around the house and nothing happens, unless you want the mc to be a perv and look into the partially closed doors.
I am not a fan of "sandbox" games to begin with, but the ones I tolerate all of some kind of task list to follow or hints to keep the story moving forward rather than just forcing you to click randomly on rooms that you can't DO anything in until you stumble onto the next step.

You may be right but this time it uses Renpy so any modder can improve it. That's a major advantage of Renpy.

Sure thing. Just begin a new game and select "Skip day 3".
It's only 5 days of gameplay in the game now, so you can continue for only 2 more days.

A renpy remake is a good thing, and I can tell you put work into it, but why bother with all the sandbox annoyance?
If I wanted the sandbox experience with random clicking until something happens I'd play the original...

Ok that's great but starting in alpha state ? What is the rush mate ? Somewhere in the game, has a deadly bug. I don't know how to find it but be careful if you taking codes from the original. Either way good luck

Any chance of changing the save page layout ? to show the whole image, instead of just a vertical sliver from the middle of the screen ? It's really hard to tell what you've actually made a save of, thanks.
