There are stored in a save file in the old version of the game, if you delete the game after you play it, you also delete your save files.
Follow similar link in the old game file.

Anyone know why when using crossover on a MAC you can't enter day 5 and it nearly crashes every new day and can't open saves without it crashing?

I have same issue. My guess is it is the same ram issue.

It has to do with your wine video driver in crossover, try using a different version of windoze or change drivers.
Bootcamp works better or even virtual pc.
