Another great update.
couple of (small) bugs I noticed:-
Xanthe's bio has two blocks of text overlapping.
Emelia's pubic hair seems to have a mind of its own.

Thank you, yes.. there is an animation where it sorta disappears and one of the sprites it's a bit darker than I wanted it to be. I'm getting better at using Paintstorm to modify sprites, so I'll have a pop at lightening that. I've just picked up Luminar Neo and a digital course on how to use it, so I'll see if can start editing out some of these inconsistencies. Her boobs are also a little too big in some of the later ones. It will never be completely consistent, I just don't have that level of control over it. The NSFW animations are particularly at risk of it because where framepack generates imagery that wasn't part of the original image, the more it generates in an animation the more it changes and the less detailed it gets. It also likes to grow things over time. I had to run so many different attempts on the blow job scenes because she would lift up and the MC's shaft would keep growing to fill the gap, rather than it just working out it was a dick and not a hosepipe.

WAN has had some big improvements over the last month or two, I want to take a look at that, but at first glance it seems significantly more complicated to run than Framepack.

I also thought I'd fixed Xanthe's bio, but obviously not, thanks.

Just noticed that the scores are still "playing up", at the end of the playthrough I am getting 5/3 for Sarah, 5/6 for Emelia and Ethan's bio is showing "Aberrant Gnosis 7/8.
Also on the codex tab if you select either Aberrant Gnosis or Alignment and then press the other one the text overlaps - you have to clear the text of one before selecting the other.
Not sure if these are due to playing a loaded save or not - I will try a clean playthrough of the whole game later and see if it makes any difference.

Hmm. I have no idea how you have managed to bump up the actual scores for Sarah and Emelia and abgnosis. I've just double checked the script and there are definitely a max of 3 points on offer for Sarah and 4 for Emelia and 5 for AG prior to the 2nd CG mission.

I vaguely remember a bug where I hadn't closed off a mission, so it could be repeated, which would include getting all the points for repeating it. I cant remember if that ever made it into one of the live released, but it was patched out if it did. If it happens on a fresh save I'll be really confused as to what is happening there.

The "Aberrant" extra scene for Sarah did not close off in the previous update - so I did that twice before realising it had not closed properly.
I'm going to delete the saves folder and do a clean reinstall of the game later on - if any problems remain after a new playthrough, I will let you know (will try to do screenshots if anything happens).

Jubs!, I hope you know that there is no one who frequents this thread who wants to see you succeed with this project more than I do. I love the Isekai fantasy/adventure concept, the story is classic, the writing is good, and the art is spectacular. Having said all that, I'm fixin' to throw down. The critique gets pretty harsh from here on, so anybody who doesn't want to read it, or doesn't think it's my place to speak it should stop here.

Why, if i try to play the update from my last saves, the game ends immediately after the mission for the Cartographer Guild?

EDIT: even if I restart the game from the beginning, it ends when I have to choose if give the Lodeshine Teardrop to Ethan or not.

When you say "ends" what do you mean exactly? Kicks you back to the menu or leaves you at the end of content screen, but nothing is clickable in the character or contracts hub?

What platform are you playing it on?

It shows the sentence: «Save here and check for the next updates.» (or something like this), like if the game ends exactly when it ended the update 0.22 or 0.23.

P.S. I'm using Windows 10.

OK, and when you click on the hub button and then the Star icon, when you mouse over Emelia, does it light up and let you click it?

Yes, if I click on the hub button and then on the star icon, I can click on Emelia's icon and see a new scene. Having doing that I can also click on the icons of Sarah and the older sister, to see other two scenes.

EDIT: if I click on the hub button and then on the guild icon, I can start a new mission with Emelia, but it seems there isn't any story progression fom my last save.

OK, then after Sarah's event, there should then be a contract available for the cartographer's guild, is that not showing?

It should be - Finish Chapter 2 - contract becomes available for cartographers mission 1 - then character event for Emelia - then character event for Lilly - then character event for Sarah - then contract becomes available for cartographers mission 2.

Yes, there is. I was searching a story progression from my last save. But now I'm starting to suppose this update isn't about that.

I'd like some feedback about the sprites in the game. Specifically how many of them there are. As the game has progressed and I've gotten better at creating them, I've found myself using more and more of them in the updates. I'd like to say this is a deliberate stylistic choice on my part, but actually it boils down to me having to generate a lot of images to get what I want, finding a lot of images I really like and think look really good and then wanting to use as many of them as possible. I thought it would mean more images, more content and therefore more engaging. Which it probably would be if they were all images that I had total design control over. But being that I'm partnered with AI and not human designers, I have a feeling that isn't really working out so well. I'm seeing a few downsides and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get around them all.

Those downsides are....

Firstly, it takes a lot of time to pick, fix (fixing the hands and seams where the face is corrected), removing added items I didn't ask for like rings and necklaces, sometimes correcting hair colour and makeup, sometimes painting in the eye-glow effect, extending the image to fill out cut off parts of hair, arms, legs etc, cropping the image, generating alternative emotion versions (smiling, frowning etc.), upscaling the image and then stripping out the background. Then you have to add it in to the game, set the zoom and positioning etc. It is by far the most time consuming part of the process. So if I was doing less of it, then I would be able to move the stories forward more rapidly.

Aside from that, the other issue that I can reduce, but cannot get rid of, is the consistency problem. Particularly when it comes to nude scenes. Breast size and shape, the amount, colour and shaping of pubic hair and tan-lines are all highly variable. Even with clothes, belts, cuts and accessories all vary a great deal, even with strict and rigid generation parameters. This doesn't matter so much when the sprites have changed on a scene to scene basis, but if there are 10 sprites in a scene, then there are 10x the number of opportunities for a consistency error that is presented to the reader in quick succession, making them more obvious.

I think this latest update suffers from these factors. The final sequence with Emelia for example has some big consistency errors with her breast size, that I overlooked because I thought the overall images looked great. The romance scene has some images in that looked great when generated, but I couldn't get them extended out of portrait and so they cut off within the screen space. Which does look bad, but again, I really wanted to use the image because on it's own, it was great. I've had some (fairly harsh) feedback related to this, that whilst disappointing, wasn't actually that much of a surprise to me.

So I'm thinking for future updates I need to get a grip of my desire to use all the cool images in the game and just focus on one or two for each scene (with variants) and perhaps try to utilise short animations to keep them dynamic. But regardless of how I do that, it will reduce the variety of sprites and images. I didn't want to just do it without seeing what people thought.. so here is a poll, please let me know.

I figured I wouldn't waste the cool images, I would just add them here as bonus content, but without having to adapt them to fit a specific scene, just upscaled and hand/neck fixes.

So... A small number of high quality sprites, supplemented with emotion and animation variants. Or a large number of sprites, whose quality can sometimes be a bit iffy and jarring due to consistency issues?

UI Suggestions:
1. If there is content or missions available, let the player know that content or missions are available beyond the timed notification (example: highlighting the star/mail icons or as a simple message in that screen)
2. Display the 'End of Content' message only if you have reached end of content with no content left to experience (right now it is a bit confusing)
3. You need to provide a way to see the stats you are tracking. Date, inventory, money and alignment are nowhere to be found
4. Codex' background image is intrusive; the stars frequently make the text hard to read

Bugs:
1. Topics in the codex are toggles, which allows you to display multiple texts at the same time. Codex' text is a bit small.
2. Once you pass the 'end of content' message, you can still conjure up the widget that displays missions and such, the problem is that depending on timing, you may end up with the Patreon button over the content (if you start a mission from there, the button can remain visible. I managed this twice) The easiest fix is to remove the widget from that screen
