When one builds games, the various versions need numbers. Or letters. But usually one uses number.
since "1" is supposed to be the complete game, many gamebuilders number their earlier game versions in .x steps.
0.3 would be the third mayor release, for an example.
But since there is feedback (helpful feedback is theoretically possible) and one finds bugs and typos, most gamerbuilderpersons post in-between version that are numbered as .xy: could be 0.33 for an example.
That is not meant to perplex critics, reviewes and other mental heroes: that is just a consequence of modern education with the counting that we usually do.
calling that suspicious or whatnot is not especially helpful or friendly, really.
