Simply put: Original artist quit, didn't want to draw porn, and told them they can't use their art anymore. So they got a new artist, which also gave them a chance to start from scratch and rewrite the story a bit to flow better.

So, the story has been changed up some, and new artist has taken over the reins. While it does set things back a bit, I personally think it is for the better in the long run. And the art still looks good, just a different style.
Ah, I see. That sucks, especially cause essentially told you can't continue with what they had. I do really like the new art style though, especially Tom and Lei

Also Alice actually looks like a hot nerd now, rather than a porn character w/ glasses. So that helps the immersion, lmao.

Hi guys!

New week, new weekly update. We are already in the final stretch of CR2, which is always a month full of stress and things to do.

This week we have focused a lot on the code, programming the new sprites (mysterious new character, Sophie, improved Alice and her changes of looks and a change of clothes for an existing character), preparing the point and clicks of this chapter and improving things of the interface that did not finish convincing us. They are also weeks full of meetings with Fausto, artwork revisions and last-minute variations or additions, and spending time exporting all the files. As we told you a long time ago, due to a problem when exporting the art, the saturation of the images in cr1 was not what we had in mind and, although the variation is not very large, for cr2 we have decided to re-export everything except some sprites that We will wait for cr3. And since we were we have taken the opportunity to improve some images ( you can check some of the improved backgrounds and ).

The new shots of the backgrounds are a good indicator, I think, of the lessons learned from the previous version. It seems a bit more polished.

First off, I didn't consider what I wrote as a criticism, more of an observation.

Secondly, well duh! But what that means is that nobody, except the developer who knows the exact algorithm, can look at that chart and say with any confidence HOW THEY'RE DOING! Might as well just show the final percentage and leave it at that. Nobody here knows how long it takes this team to do Art or Debugging or anything else, which makes the chart interesting, but hardly informative.

I might also point out that the progression of the final percentages from week to week hardly inspires confidence in the predictions being made for completion. I sincerely hope the predictions are correct and not the weekly percentage progressions. During the month of October, we have gone from 38.625% on 10/2 to 48.38% on 10/30. At no time has any weekly improvement achieved 3%. Yet we are being told to expect a November release!?

Please note, I am saying this as a person who loves this game, and has supported the change of artists (and understood the problems caused thereby) since that change was announced. I want to see another release, and will wait as long as it takes. But I cannot realistically believe predictions of November BASED ON THE CHARTS.
even december is questionable too if game is at the end november below 60%.
you should prepare yourself on following: progress rate is cca 10% per month, so 10 months per update.
with already seen blackouts when this dev disappear from map in incommunicado, lets say year per update: ch2 in 2023, ch3 in 2024, ch4 in 2025 and ch5 in 2026.
any guessing how long will take to finish ch.6 for which she have 0% material done (unlike for reboot)?

Hi guys!
Quick update this week:

Both Art and Script are almost complete, though some last minute ideas will make us add a few more things in both departments.
Other than that, we're speding these days on improving the code and programming scenes, plus we have a clear idea of how we want to "animate" our characters during the Posing phase (which will happen between the Alpha and the Beta alongside a part of the Music and the Debugging, that doesn't have to be finished to release the Alpha).
We're in the final stretch now and if all goes well, we'll be releasing the Alpha next week. Besides the usual image with the progress bars, we're adding another with the file difference between the old C2 and the new CR2.

You can see there are some brand new scenes added and we've also added/changed some content in the existing ones . We're also changing some plot lines drastically this chapter, but we believe it's for the best.

We also just revealed the mystery chracter in this don't miss it out!
See u soon!
At this rate we'll see chapter 6 in 2025.

They sure take their time for a remake of a few chapters.
I don't even understand how the art is managing to keep up with the script according to the weekly updates. Even if the rewrite is extensive (which it wasn't really in C1), the template is already there, while the art is done from scratch.
Either the new artist is a beast, or the words to renders ratio is absolutely massive, or ... well you know. There were long delays even before the remake...
