Yes, but do you use winrar or 7-zip to extract files from archives? As Eagle said you can check the archive for errors/file integrity (with winrar anyway) in case it downloaded incorrectly. With 7-zip you can only compare checksums with someone else. You should try that so that you know the archive you downloaded didn't somehow corrupt or something during the download.

Another thing to consider is whether the game files are blocked, like this example:

You must be registered to see the links

That can sometimes cause errors. I use powershell to remove the blocked file status from directories of files as used in these instructions:


No idea if read-only might cause errors like that too. If you're testing this you'll probably want to rename the files back.

I was originally thinking maybe you had a non-english environement on your OS and you should use

but that doesn't seem to be the case.

So you renamed them the wrong way. As I wrote earlier, check the archive for errors, also add the game to the antivirus exceptions.

I have to admit, i never thought i would ever find a product of this quality and splendid animation using RPG maker but somehow you made that possible, because of NLT i had a reignited interest in rpg maker.

I hope to see more and more of these types of high quality games.

There are no hidden scenes in the game.

You can always disable the sound on or off specific movies in the files .js. If necessary, I can describe how, what parameter and what disables.

Try this:
Start 1.0 make some saves in the same positions as the ones you want to transfer for (ex file1, file2, file5). Exit the game then paste the old files into the new save folder overwriting the new saves you just made. That should work (it may still say 0% but will return to 97% if you load and resave it).

Two important files are "file1.rpgsave" and "global.rpgsave".
"config.rpgsave" Stores game settings such as sound, music, voices, and so on. You don't need it. When you load a save or just launch a game, getting into the menu the game creates this file again.

Because you had to backup two files instead of one. If you still have the old version, upload the "global.rpgsave" file to the new version. If not, do as Xanado wrote above.
