I've gotta hand it to the author, the game, even in its current state looks incredibly ambitious and head and shoulders above most games here.
The art direction is superb, the whole thing looks very, very close to the source material, except the obvious improvements to the character models that are very much welcome - because, let's be frank, the original game only had planks.
Mechanically, the game is also pretty interesting and refreshing - a mix of adventure game and RPG, with stats, dialogue options (with plenty of skill checks even!), moral choices etc.
Even what little there is currently is a good indication of where the game is going.
In a way, it reminds me of Bethesda games with the first-person perspective, the open world and the mini-games.
That being said, there's a few issues that I want to point out:
1. Clunky controls - I think it would make far more sense to have a contextual interactive button that defaults to the most logical action for any given object - i.e. open a door, pick up an item, search through a trash can - while another button can be used to choose further actions (examine, look through door lock). That way having to click and then choose a menu option and click then click again to perform all actions (and especially opening doors and picking up items) can be avoided, thus making the gameplay more fluid.
EDIT: One more thing, I feel like there's no need for the game to pan the camera and zoom it onto every object that can be interacted with. Having to go through the same camera animation every time a piece of trash is selected, and then having to click to pick it up is needlessly convoluted. Ideally, the default action would be bound to the left mouse button, while further options would be bound to the right mouse button, and they would bring up a "quickloot" menu ala Fallout 4 with options, and then, depending on the chose option, the camera would pan and zoom towards the object.
2. Minigames - nothing really against the minigames, they're fine and are likely to be a nice change of pace. Only issue is the controls, since the controls seems to be more suited for a controller with two analog sticks. Additionally, the lockpicking game has a weird sound effect, which I assume is a placeholder. Also, would it be possible to increase the price of the lockpick a bit, but make it multi-use (durability dependent on relative skill)?
3. Lack of music and sound effects - not really an issue as I imagine this is just a symptom of the game being still early in development. Still, it would be nice to have more ambient noise and music - though I'd really like if the game could avoid the pitfall of featuring really weird music for the lewd scenes.
4. Writing - this really is very, very subjective on my part so it shouldn't be taken too seriously - I felt that the dialogue with Max in the bathroom was a tad weird - she's awfully quick to spill the beans (which, taking into account the MC's circumstances, is somewhat logical), I just feel that she should need a little more coaxing, or at least express a little more embarrassment.
As for everything else, it's all pretty top notch. Maybe the only thing that I would like to comment on is that hopefully the game doesn't suffer from a lack of content (as many of the "proper" porn games tend to do) and that the corruption is paced well enough to not rob the player of the sense of accomplishment. Ideally, I'd wish for MFF+ content, a harem ending and possibly even multiple solutions to various quests, though I don't know how viable the last one may be, or even if it is worth the bother.
Lastly, the only thing remaining that I am interested in seeing is how the game will handle sex scenes, and how interactive they may be.
I genuinely like what this project is trying to accomplish and where it is going, and wish you all the best of luck.
