Okay so after beating the game and seeing all the variations of the ending, I honestly think the ending of lust is stranger is not bad as some people say but very much on point with how the original game ended things, albeit differently of course.

TLDR for those who either forgot the ending of Life is Strange or never played the game at all. Near the end of the game, Max essentially has two options, either allow the time storm to destroy Arcadia Bay and kill most of it's residents but Chloe end's up surviving which in turn allows her to defy her "destiny" to die or go back in time all the way back to where Chloe was originally supposed to be killed and allow it to happen in order for the events to naturally play out as intended by the universe. By natural events I mean Chloe getting shot by Nathan in the bathroom which results with Nathan and Jefferson being imprisoned by police investigation and Rachel being discovered by the police too but all the relationships, experiences and even moments with Chloe never happened. The reason it was controversial to a point back then and probably still is, is because one ending invalidates all of the gameplay and choices you made since you went back in time to erase it but the other option basically just kills most of the people which also invalidates the choices to a degree but keeps Chloe alive.

With that in mind, this game basically parallels the events and emotions you would probably feel from the original game which I think is what the developer probably intended perhaps? How? Well given that there's really only "two" endings that are important for what I'll say which are the protagonist staying in the LIS universe or getting thrown back to his or to another universe (variations occur depending on world deviation and your karma choice near the end). The one where the MC has to return to his universe or get thrown into another world would probably be the ending where in Max allows Arcadia Bay to be destroyed. Why? Well this ending establishes two things, the events or choices you made are permanent and will effect everything, and that there's a feeling of things won't be the same afterwards anymore. For the first point, in Life is Strange, this would basically be the entire Bay getting wrecked by the storm and lots of it's side characters probably dying in it while in Lust is Stranger, this would be either you "romancing" or corrupting the girls forever changing their personality and future choices. As for the feeling I mention, in the OG game, Chloe and Max leave Aracdia Bay with it's potential future up in the air while in Lust is Stranger, the MC returns/comes to a place without a way back to the other universe hence the same "feeling " of things never going back to how it was. As for the the other ending, I say the ending where Max let's Chloe die and the MC staying in the LIS universe parallel each other because both allow destiny to play out as it was intended and also give you the same emotion to boot. The "I feel like we know each other" feeling of the MC around Max in the merged timeline and Max never even meeting Chloe but having the memories they shared with in the "fixed timeline" both give of the same "feeling" of jamai vu and transience in time. Plus, the merged timeline makes makes the MC probably a background character in the original game and no I will not download the OG game just to find out what model they used for the MC.

All in all, that's why I think the ending is decent given the context. The problem here is... this isn't just some parody game, it's a porn parody game :ROFLMAO:. I get the artistic merit of this ending but like most people here stay for the story, jerk off and be happy then call it a day, not to be hit with some sense of melancholy and "what could have been" xD

However, is what I'm saying a stretch? most likely. Am i wasting my time theorizing and writing this shit down? absolutely! But fuck it, the ride was good anyway.

My ONLY basic complaint with the ending is that is feels very rushed and has some tacked on elements. The tacked on elements being the world deviation mechanic and Jefferson's photos. The first just either makes you go back into your universe, the Life is Strange true colors era or fucking mass effect. The second just boils down to an extra step when you're in the dark room escaping. As for the rushed ending, you literally get yeeted out of the universe just like that, It's pretty fast. Also Jefferson was barely in the story despite being the antagonist in the OG but... at least our guy Samuel got some love.

I doubt the developer would make Lust is Stranger 2 but for those who feel unsatisfied with the ending, Just pick the ending where the MC gets yeeted into Life is Strange: True Colors. At least in that ending, he just ends up a couple of years into the future and in a different town in the same universe. The LIS1 girls are still probably somewhere in the universe so yay? Besides, who knows? Maybe the Mc will get to meet Kate and Max in that ending.

All images you see in that ending are actually captured from the original game. So if you play the original after that ending and choose to destroy Arcadia Bay, you'll be killing Max first love ;)

If people are having problems getting this or any other Unity game to open on the Mac, try extracting it with a third party unextractor like Unarchiver or RAR Extractor. This will replace missing arguments from the the way Unity compiles the program. Just tested it with LiS and GRH.

The Architect I just encountered a bug when playing the poly scene with max and the black haired nerd, i played the scene the first time and randomly skip some parts

The second time playing the same scene I chose different choices and kept holding the fast forward button, eventually it stopped skipping, i could still manually click to continue the scene manually but I couldn't alt-enter to change fullscreen, alt tab to move away, use screenshot tool or even ctrl-alt-del to open task manager anymore. Even the shortcut to instantly open task manager with "always on top" enabled did nothing.

I was forced to manually shutdown the computer and I am not touching that game for a time <.<

so you think it's a bug and not your own fault
cos you use skip
no the bug is you and your laziness of not reading by skipping

The MC says that he recorded himself banging Courtney, but there's no option to send that video to Jefferson. Is this working as intended or not? Seems like an odd design choice to me if it is. It's already pretty difficult to gather enough material, especially since one of the other options seems to be bugged currently. In my current playthrough, the game says I've only given 4 pictures/videos to him, even though it was 5 (Victoria's glory hole and bedroom scenes, Chloe's OF, Juliet blowing the MC and Brooke's bathroom scene)
