It was not what I expected in terms of history but in a sense it caught me a lot, totally different from any other VN

Also, I must be weird but voice acting does nothing for me. In fact, I personally don't like it and always turn it off when I come across it.
The only voice acting I can tolerate are moans or maybe a few hot words during sex scenes, but that's all.

Voice acting is expensive, it slows down development, and it makes it very expensive/difficult to go back and clean up past mistakes in the plot line. And I've never seen a poll of it, but I bet at least 40% of the people playing the game turn it off anyway.

Have to slightly disagree about the voice acting 'cause I loved the way it was done in Daughter for dessert.

You know what? The part I highlighted was really obvious but I had never thought about it.
If you have to add voice acting, at least wait until development is complete. It makes total sense.
Not to mention the cost which indeed is unnecessary and should go to more essential aspects of the game's development.

Voice acting feels weird for many reasons:
Firstly, I wanna read at my own pace and I'm normally way faster than the speed at which voice actors read their lines.
Secondly, I prefer to imagine what everyone's voices sound like. Besides, most times the voices we hear don't correspond with the alleged age of the characters.
Thirdly, dialogues in porn movies sound unnatural enough already but nothing compares to the artificiality of voice acting in porn games. As I see it, it's like reciting lines for a play's rehearsal, it feels theatrical.
Finally, in games like this with...forbidden content there are going to be awkward gaps in the dialogue. Even if you simultaneously read the "correct" text after installing a patch, in your mind the effect is not the same when what you read is not exactly what you hear.
My 2 cents.

Oh, I forgot. A prime example of voice acting I find tolerable is the one in Treasure of Nadia. "Hi there", "How are you doing?" "What do we have here?"... short sentences to start conversations, not intrusive and easy to implement.
And, as I said in my previous message, for me moans and sighs are usually OK.

So next time someone decides to complain about stuff taking too long remember that there are two possible reasons:
1 - The inceton reason - We are working on the project and that's all that matters
2 - The Icstor reason - I am sitting on a beach right now, spending all that money that people gave me, not working because I am not 'feeling it'.

In fairness, everyone deserves a holiday now and again. Work is work after all, even if you happen To love your job.

I do agree however they could/ should be better at updating Patreon. A weekly status update wouldn’t be unreasonable. Similar to how Dr Pinkcake works for being a DiK. A quick, ‘what’s being worked on’ plus how many renders are completed or an estimated percentage to show what progress is being made.

I’m not against voice acting and I actually think it makes sense to add it earlier rather than later. If this ends up being 5+ seasons or 50+ episodes it’s better to do this early and be able to do it incrementally.

My main criticism of so many of these studios is working on two games at once. It sucks. If you happen to like both games, great, but you still having to wait longer for each because of the other.

Yes, yes we know... We suck at communicating.(Because we want to spend as much time as we can on creating the game) From now on we will try to post at least once a week. What will we post? A short update on the game progress and generally about what's going on. (The next one will be shorter.)

These posts will be unedited and will contain some real talk. So don't bitch about spelling.

EoL S1E10:
Currently there are around 1300 new images for this release and who knows how many updated images. On release we expect around 2000 new images. Yeah, was was supposed to be only bug fixes will be the biggest content update we have done to date. Fuck me, right? 'guess that's what you get when you give us more money (We gain more patrons) so that we can hire more people. Oh yeah and there are a shit ton more animations. Some bonus. Some in game. Some reworked.

EoL S2E2:
Story finished! Current render number around 1000 still didn't finish assigning images to text. Expected number around 1300 new images. Our artists (4 of them thanks to you and your generous donations) will start creating them in 2-3 days once they are done with S1E10. Oh yeah there is a new fun intro as well! (For all of those who ask why S1 saves don't work in S2 it should help in explaining everything.)

Soon we will probably launch a "Special offer" for the pictures that we will send out to your address. There will be a poll for the pictures and the top images will be sent out. Or do we just send it to you without a poll? So it's a surprise? Hmmm....

Summer with Mia 2 update:
Story done. New and updated characters done. Locations done. Started rendering? Nope. We are trying to catch some time but it's hard with EoL taking up so much time. If we could hire one more person we would start it up asap. But for now its kinda on hold. But we will start it up soon I'm sure.

At the start of this month we started using

WARNING!!!!!!!
Now that our resourceful leaders have merged the two parts of this game together into this original thread, I felt it my obligation to make sure everyone understands that the walkthrough posted below along with the save files applies to part one of this game only. I ran through the new update and decided at this time that I would not post a walkthrough for the current release, since said release is pretty much a click through in my opinion. That being said, I will post a second, separate walkthrough here in this same post for the new release (part two) when it becomes appropriate to do so. Until then---ENJOY!

Updated Walkthrough with Save Files!

The save files correspond to the green highlighted labels placed throughout the walkthrough. The individual zip files attached below correspond to the individual save pages Ren'Py utilizes in its game structure - every Ren'Py save page consisting of six save panels - 1 thru 3 across the top, 4 thru 6 along the bottom. Follow the instructions in the beginning of the walkthrough to place the files in your game if you so choose to use them. Hope the walkthrough is clear enough in its explanation on how to place the save files in your game.

Walkthrough and save files for Echoes of Lust S1E9 Downloads Below

In your guide you mention how to rename the character name from Sleazy to something else using saveeditonline.com but when I upload the save there is no option to change, I just see a bunch of green and red numbers. In game in the setting though you can reset the relationships including your name which I do but it never sticks with your save. It always reverts back to Sleazy. I am trying to not replay everything since I dont have my old save with my name.

Any idea how to fix the name issue?

S1E10? I thought we got S2E01 because E9 was the end and we advanced one day and that new day was S2. Are we getting two separate timelines or something? Bit confused. But at least its new content lol so im not complaining. Just confused.

Quick question, I assume Summer with Mia is not necessary to play and is just a fun tie in with the devs other game by the same name, that he added to this game as a bit of an easter egg, right? Or should I play it because it loosely ties into Echoes of Lust?

Inceton already explained but S1E10, takes place just before the ending of E9 and it is advised to play the game from the beginning again.

The whole game? Not a save file from before before the ending? Is he remaking a lot of scenes or the plot leading up to the original E9 ending? I dont know what he intends to add/do with S1 with this E10 but I guess we will find out. Either way I enjoyed the game.

It makes sense now ha. Yeah ill wait for this E10 and S1 to be done before continuing with S2E2 when it comes out. I already played S2E1 though. I am not sure what he wants to add to S1 since S2 so far makes sense to me.

I'm glad you are starting over again, because I tried to change Sleazy's name but ran into some issues. I got it to work once, but couldn't repeat it. The second issue was that each save is in and of itself unique, meaning every uploaded save would require a renaming of the MC, so all those saves I uploaded would require you to rename the MC for each instance if you wanted to use your own named character with those save files.

That was the one issue I had with doing the walkthrough along with the save files; I couldn't create the save files without naming the character in the beginning of the game. So I was stuck. Incest as a fetish in the make believe is one thing, but incest as a mode of operation in the realistic world is quite another. So, I thought, if this guy was "For Real", my interpretation of him would have been "He's One Sleazy Motherf*cker!" So...the name Sleazy seemed befitting. LMAO!!!
