Honestly I've had highest lewdness since the beginning and relationship with Logan is going as good as it can.

Lewd fame just changes how the characters perceive you and unlocks the slutty scenes. All the important story quests are still available with hero fame. Its more of a do you wanna play as a slut or the village hero kind of thing. Me personally, considering this is a porn game, I wanna see all the slutty scenes so I have my Lewd fame at 20. That way if I get hero points from like the story or something it won't be higher than my lewd fame so I can be slutty all I want without worrying about the stat

There's no good reason to be a "hero" in this game.

• You bar yourself out of multiple lewd scenes. I mean you are playing a lewd game....
• There's no difference in the story, you're just being called differently if you are a slut / hero / neutral
• There's no special scenes that's unique to hero, but loads of hot scenes unique to slut.
• If you want a heroic SFW adventure, LD is never a good one, it's SFW writing and plots are just meh.

Also Barrel only appears in the pub if have high rep with bandits and you give money to them via Jester. Prior to that if you want a relationship with Logan you don't encourage him to go to the camp, if he goes he becomes a total slag.

Bandit camp morale is the threshold that allows Barrel to show up in Bareshade. Regardless of whether you submitted to Scar or not Barrel will show up if ur at or above 25 morale. If you submitted to Scar you please barrel and if you beat scar you face fuck barrel. There's also the love potion scene with Barrel, Harold, and a Ratkin.
The Orc camp has nothing in it encounter wise, it's super WIP.

Also, since I don't have much time at the moment, does overleveling a little through exp potions (like, enough to get my stats all around 12 to 15 at the beginning) ruin the game experience/skip over some common triggers? Or is it a good choice to breeze through the exp grinding/fighting part of the game?

No there's no romance path with Gunnar atm, you are his bitch if you count that as a relationship, and he has loads of scenes with you.

EXP grind is never a thing. What's annoying is item grind which you can easily bypass from in-game cheats.
I don't think there's any event requires attribute check (except the guest write brothel which is very meh atm)
If you don't wanna ruin your experience from attributes, just don't set:
Agility too high - then you won't be grabbed.
Charm doesn't matter tho since you can use lust potion to submit.
BTW 12-15 isn't high, I always start at 15.

You can just ignore him. Since there's no romance path with Gunnar, No event is tied to his "likes" - which is the true grind still can't be bypassed without save-editing.
And atm there's no story tied to NPC "likes", only their romance scenes.
That said, If you don't like him, there's an event you can beat him up so you earn a "black heart" (hate), which prevent future lewd scenes.
