Did he really have to introduce the rat's world / garbage dump these last few months? It doesn't seem to tie with anything for now. We even got art and sex CG for rat king, while older important characters get nothing.
Everything is half done.
I get that you can't just develop only lizards or only Northcrest, but you don't need a thousand new creatures and places that don't seem to affect the story until 5 months later when he finally develops them.
I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I was like Lustful Desires #1 fan in the beginning. I've been there from the start. I was a Patron and everything. But seeing the mismanagement of the game and pulverized story telling got me frustrated as fuck. It's like going to an ice cream store and only being able to get a taste of 20 different flavors.
We got to have a first kiss with the lumberjack after how many million months of waiting? A kiss! In a porn game.
So yeah, it frustrates me.

ZoroJ is the only reason I play this game, if he changed Artist I'd ditch it in a heartbeat.

Hyao just fails as a game developer, he listens to randoms on discord and fked the story accordingly.

That is the other, stupid Discord "help" did ruin the game, now it is only a shadow of what it was and with the save data purge, it just turn it worst.

I still enjoy the game quite a lot because it's rather uniquely written, in my opinion, and presents interesting and exciting situations. I agree, thought, that I would have avoided some parts (I'm among those who didn't really feel the need of the whole junkyard part, but I guess he wanted to develop it to put the furry part, of which he's a fan, in the game) or at least focused more on the main storylines.
I don't feel it's out of control, though.

Also, I like the drawing style a lot, mixing with another artist would not be the way to go IMO.

It's better if he worked on the whole story for a month or two. This is supposed to be his story, his vision. The game is still missing its identity for how long now. There's nothing wrong with being ambitious by doing flashy things like the combat system and the crafting system because at the end of the day, they're just set pieces just so your visual novel doesn't feel empty. There's a furry vn game (I forgot the name) where until now, the story isn't finished yet. People just lost interest cause the story is going nowhere and the updates were so small.

It really has potential but I think he handles the coding aspect as well so that might be the answer or maybe he hit a wall of writer's block so maybe that's the reason he wants to fix the coding aspect shit.

The storyline is just a mess because it's going in multiple directions. The OG characters do lack some romance storyline but it's better if he works on their story since he created them.

Wasn't me who mentioned the Discord channel, but as far as I'm aware, there's a Discord channel for Patrons where people discuss the game with Hyao, giving him ideas, feedback, etc.
I've seen people blaming Discord for the way things are, but I dunno if that's really the problem.
At the end of the day, it's his game and his decision.

To the people talking about the story, believe me when I say stories are a shitstorm. I mean, I tried coding a dating sim: I had the beginning, I had the ends, I had several big plot points and sex/romance scenes planned.... But lacked filler, so had like 10% of a plot at best.

With an RPG, you've got interlocking characters, relationships, stats, it's a cluster fuck. So, yes, he may not be focusing on the main story but can you blame him? He's got more work to do than you think, especially if he starts including variables like "if [relationship] is [number] then = if [stat] is [number] than:" kinda stuff.

Give the guy a break, he's just slopping in what he can do quickly. Plots are a bitch even when they're linear, nevermind when they're branching. Enjoy the porn, crush on the characters, and just be patient. You want rushed work, go find the various match-3 or slider puzzle porn games out there, cos that shit is ten a penny.

also if you just wanna jerk off go watch some porn, this is a storytelling game, yes the rat kingdom doesn't have much connection to the other characters but they might in the future, and even if the rats stay separated that's not a problem too. Creating the game and the branches takes time, I been here since update 0.17 and I don't have complaints, he's always putting updates monthly, and little by little you get to see the character.
Logan has 2 routes, the now where you can watch he get fucked without emotional connections and the one where he is slowly falling in love, he just lost his wife to the fucking wolves for christ sakes give the poor guy a break to heal from that

We had the orcs camp that is being developed, the mediation between the captain Everett and Korg, we had the Northcrest expansions update, and advancement on the Lizard's ques line too... So yeah, I understand that's being given drop by drop but saying that it hasn't been moving isn't fair either.
