Hentai games are almost never scary and this one is not going to be different. I think only some managed to get somewhat close to being called scary but mostly because of the shocking value (gore/guro etc.). One such example is Prisonkage by Vosmug (somewhat I guess though I would call it a stretch).
From purely hentai non-gory games, I think Anthophobia is somewhat succesful in making a survival horror atmosphere like old RE games. That's about it.
No, the closest thing to one is not knowing where the ghost is and they spawn right on top of you or using the wrong item to capture them. Both will get you captured by them and fucked.

When they haunt you they just have a generic sprite so you can't tell what they are, but when they finaly catch you they go from cute to slightly weird, nothing too bad. I played this comfortably even though I usually have SEVERE issues with scary things and jumpscares, especially.
I usually can't watch / play anything that contains ANYTHING jumpscare-y because I simply start shaking and feel physicaly uncomfortable, but this game didn't do that to me at all.

Just an FYI in case some people haven't thought of it. You can put a camera in Luna's room then trigger the Mac scene and watch it from the camera station.

if you're fast enough you can even get the phone that Luna drops, follow her and call her whiles she is waiting infront of the door to her room to get some extra dialog. It's even hinted in the game files that you where supposed to be able to hide under her bed and some additional dialog would appear.
