Yeah, this was one of the better games. Would have loved to see it completed but we lose another one.Sadge its abandoned this game is pretty good
Nonsense... It was not "too ambitious", it didn't have multiple complicated paths or any pioneering game mechanics - game had great story/writing and good/very good renders. Just because it wasn't as dumb as 99,9% games in here does not mean it was "too ambitious".I really liked this one, but I think it was just too ambitious for a first game. It would have been better to start with something simpler and saved this as a second game after the dev has figured out the workflow and built up a following. I think that is a mistake that a lot of new devs make.
Boo! Little jumpscare. I got you, didn't I? Yeah, this game is not abandoned. But as some of you might know the forum has pretty clear rules that if the Patreon is not updated in... 90 days (I think?) a game will automatically receive an "abandoned" tag. It's happened before, back when I was working on Chapter 4, and well... it wasn't abandoned then, it's not now. Thank you guys so much for being patient, but between me almost dying from sinusitis (yeah, I know), fighting my own psychological limitations, and having my spirit crushed every step of the way, I have to say, things have been a little hectic. But hey, none of this would be any fun if it was easy, am I right?
As some of you know, I'm still working on the trailer for the Steam version of the game, which is something I am taking very, very seriously. Problem is, I'm burning away money I don't have to render stuff that people might not care about because my computer is nowhere near powerful enough to accommodate my obsession. I'm still stuck in the neverending saga of committing to things I'm neither competent nor equipped enough to do. Because of that, right now, I'm oscillating between a state of pure panic and exhaustion and I have to admit it's a little challenging to keep focus, sometimes. However, this hasn't stopped me from making pretty good progress. I hope to show you guys what I've been cooking pretty soon. I love you all, stay with me.
yeah it's pretty much up in the air, either we get something or we won't, I like the game but not really confident anything else will come of it other than what we already got. It's a shame really, didn't have the best visuals, but I liked the story and characters.afaik dev had some irl problems and quit the game indefinitely. At first he said he'll try to come back but it's been some time. Though one can hope.
I honestly don't have much hope but there is always a possibility. iirc, last stable update was over 2 years ago. This wip update, which did not add much, was almost a year ago. So, one can assume this game is abandoned forever but afaik dev never said such a thing.yeah it's pretty much up in the air, either we get something or we won't, I like the game but not really confident anything else will come of it other than what we already got. When you consider the... let's be charitable and say "low" probability of material reward, especially relative to the time and resources involved, ambition and inspiration are kind of the only motives for most new devs to start a first game at all. A pilot project would be a more rational approach, but it's an inherently irrational endeavor. You can't call something a mistake if it's not really one of the options. The calculated alternative would be never beginning in the first place.I really liked this one, but I think it was just too ambitious for a first game.
