Pretty much abandoned, devs got burned out and the RPGM engine was a major contributor to that. They said the only way they will continue is through another engine that's not RPGM, and considering that just porting the game to another engine would take more than a year, I would not be hoping for anything to come out anytime soon if ever.

It seems like the best chance would be if a fan group ports the game to another engine and then the original team takes it from there, though the odds of a group of fans having the coding knowledge and the teamwork-ability as well as the motivation to see it through to the end are very low.

I mean, you'd also need to pick the right engine for the most people to join

Right, Yoshida isn't the yandere.
She wants cores because a core is proof of defeating a Magico, and enough of those would (probably) convince Marianne to let her leave.

Yoshida has a different story (Y is a different magical girl whom is MUCH closer to isabelle)

Yoshida just wants to use the cores as justification for Mariaane to pass her so she can escape the camp again.
