I have the same "freezing" problem on MacOS. It's not really freezing - it's not updating the window. I fix it by clicking in the window, then moving it a little.

If you are playing 0.8.2 version then go on OP (1st page) and click on walktrough thread link, and if you are on 0.8.3 test version then it would be better to wait official 0.8.3 update.

If i recall correctly, you need to give her the flowers to increase her stats the most out of all those items.
Save the game before you offer her any item and see what the result is... or just backstep and try a different one.
Failing that... try a walkthough, there's plenty on here, in another part of the forum, (link below) as they should still work, assuming you're not doing the latest "test" version which is heavily bugged,and could well see you have game play issues.

Edit update:
Don't try to use any saved games with the latest Test version (V0.8.3 Test) as they will not work at all.
Faerin will be adding a saved game file to the next update (this current game version is a test version, as only Veronica is actually playable, for now and this version is purely a test for the U.I. and to aid in testing for Patreon members (on that site)

If I recall, you need to the roof and talk to mom (yoga excercises) at 6am.. and it should unlock.
But if I may I suggest, you should look in the walkthrough thread for help and FaQ's, rather than ask in this part of the forum.

Gym - Go to the rooftop and talk with Mom/Claire at 6 am.
Casino - Random Event, when you use the train to travel there's a change that you'll see a flyer of the casino and this will unlock the location.
Late in the game here, but I have seem to hit a wall. Some of the things spoken about I have not been able to do, such as yoga, Emma and so on. I am at the place where Veronica is in the maid's outfit and gets spanked, Ashley does the late night hand jobs, and Claire spies on me and I spy on her. I can't find any way to advance.
Apparently, every time I get Veronica high enough to get her to start doing chores, and then peek on her at 23:00, the game just stops accepting commands, clicking does nothing. As well, the achievements for getting upgrades don't track me buying anything but the toothbrush.
Yes I have been there. She looks like she is trying to retrieve something that is hidden. I can't do anything about it. When I get in that area of the hallway I trigger spying on her or Claire. I was hoping to hear the argument between Claire and Ashley, but it does not happen.
I haven't even gotten that, Veronica's freeze takes place in her room while getting ready to go out for the night.

Please tell which version you are playing. If you are on 8.3 expect bugs, that's a test ver.
From what I've read here you have to advance the game some and that will go away. That was annoying.
Ignore going into her room and continue have her doing your chores, she always does the chores at Noon if you want to check up on her...
hey, i stuck on ashley, ive like 95 hearts and 7 stars, when i watch a horror movie with her she'll not come in my room. not even 1 time up to now.. what to do?

Anyway, bug doesn't really blocks you, as it happens after you rose points enough for next development. PS, this thread isn't for problems with gameplay, but for general discussions about game.
It's already as compressed as possible. Game is over 3 gigabytes, and it's packed to some 1,16 gigabytes...
