I dont honestly know why that is happening if you still have your original save load it up then do this

Did you delete the numbers at the front of the filename from your safegame when you downloaded it back from this site?

If you have completed the other girls then that is why there are no hints showing as this update mainly focuses on Diane and I wont spoil it foe others but there is also content there for Claire that doesnt have a hint and you will have to tick Sophia on the contacts for her to show on the hint bar as she is probably unchecked
