well there's always the possibility those folks saw some peeps in here mention the nuru, then after downloading and starting the game all that's left in thoughts is: oh, right, nuru. so they go straight to the shop buying the gel and never bother to check the hint which says: go to her place first

Yeah, I see that sometimes in some of the saves. You'd be surprised at some of the crazy things I've seen in people's saves. Mind boggling stuff.

I think this may be related to the same bug with the nuru gel. In some cases, you had to go back to the sex shop and buy the gel again (and have another conversation with the clerk at the shop) even though it's already in the inventory. Once they do that, they can go back to the massage room and the option to ask for the nuru massage will appear.

I never encountered that problem in my playthrough or during our testing of 0.9.1, so I'm not sure how that bug cropped up.

I have heard that also happens when you buy the gel and the massage oil (I think?) at the same time too.

That seems to be the common issue so far. Many people (Like me ) who were trying to be "efficient" so got caught out getting the nuru oil at the same time. Might've been better to either have the option to get both at once to set both flags at the same time or only have the lube/nuru oil appear when you get to that part of the story? Acts like a fail-safe to these issues.

There's no need. You can transfer your save over to the new version and still pick up from your last save point to continue from 0.8.5 up to 0.9.1 content and not miss anything in between.

My Save files are from V0.8.1 I haven't played in a while. Is there a way to use those saves?

No, unfortunately saves earlier than 0.8.3 are incompatible. You can use the provided save or start from the beginning to see a lot of the rework that was done.

The game runs flawless on Mac via Wine. Instruction how to install MotH on Mac is inside the installation guide (next to .exe).

Invite her to the beach on Sunday morning (9am) during breakfast with Claire and Ashley.

Go back to the sex shop again to buy the gel. The option should become available the next time you go into the massage room at the health club. If that doesn't work, go into the flags console, select Emma and change "nuru_level" to 2. Then go to the health club at noon.

No, the overlapping images in your screenshots indicate that it's a resolution problem. MotH supports an aspect ratio of 16:9 which would be a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

So if you set your monitor's resolution to that setting, make sure the resolution drop down in the game's menu is the same and don't use "Windowed" mode.

windowed mode is no prob, i'm playing at 2560x1440 windowed on a 4k screen and it runs flawless.
most of those problems come up when someone uses an older monitor with screen ratio like 4:3, as long as their native reso is bigger than 720p (1280x720) it will work in windowed mode but if their reso is smaller than that there will be mentioned problems.
