Well, Sophie, I love her coming out of the shell and she is one of my favorite characters (2nd behind Veronica I'd say), but let's be real

5 times "Hello" - *blush*
5 times helping her on the machine
5 times sauna sitting in the other corner
5 times sauna next to you
5 times sauna without towel next to you
5 times sauna with "exercise"
Yeah, most of the grind was cut out when he reworked things, but that is the last remnant of it.

If I remember correctly being a trainer gives options to girls, as does delivering, to one very special girl.
So yeah it's pretty much mandatory to slug through those tasks to get to a good point with those characters, after the meet and greet are over, essentially that's when the MC can stop working there.

Yeah, they are required, if you want to complete everything, get the bonus ending, and all the sex scenes.

i love the game but the one thing i hate with a fucking passion is those forced tutorials that treat you like you are a lobotomized squirrel................

just let people click shit and find out, the game is not nearly complicated enough to justify a freaking tutorial...........

And yet, people come in here all the time, because they can't figure things out, like that you need to extract the game before playing or that you can't bury it 34 folders deep.

optional tutorials are always better.
add a check at the start , if you click skip you start where the tutorial ends.

there will always be people that lack the capacity to do basic problem solving.

Kinda hard to do all that when going through the tutorial is actually an achievement you have to earn (general achievement #1 - "Learning the ropes"). Not to mention, aside from showing you what to do during your gameplay, it also gives you a little backstory and introduces the main girls living in the house with the MC. Let's not forget the cheat console gets unlocked when you complete the tutorial and earn the aforementioned achievement. So it actually does serve a purpose and is not just thrown in there willy nilly.

achievements are optional. if you want it you can just do it.

also anything said in the intro can be put together with ease as you play. it aint rocket science.
and the cheat console can be put there too. it really is not that hard.

why are you lot soooo against an optional tutorial???? i mean seriously i never seen a single person jump with joy at a tutorial in my life.

The same question could be asked of you as to why you're so opposed to having a tutorial to begin with. ;) Maybe the dev wanted there to be a tutorial. For that matter, I don't even know why it's such a big issue for you considering MotH is over three years old now. As for the "achievements are optional" comment, that's not how the game was intended. Achievements are very much required if you want to complete the game, otherwise there's no goal to obtain. It'd be a pretty dull game if you didn't have at least something to work for.

I wouldn't probably be able to use the expression "jump with joy" while keeping a straight face but generally I like tutorials, especially in more complex games - even though I couldn't really care less about achievements. I wouldn't really have needed it here, probably, but some more rarely used mechanic like how to give an item might have needed almost as much time to figure out as it does going through this tutorial. And while I am all for having it optional (not least for replays), I doubt that it would warrant a reopening of the files after all those years of a working game (always remember that software is fickle, and for whatever reason changing something in the tutorial code may break a later achievement).

that is explained in my first posts.

they treat the player like they lack any form of problem solving. they are boring railroaded crap that you can figure out by playing.
Also it is not aan achievement if you are forced to get it by clicking things now is it.

And i just shared my thoughts on forced tutorials.
It is you that responded to me here sir. So its you that is making it bigger than it is. ;)
I just find forced tutorials anoying and kinda insulting especially in a brain dead porn game.

Well, that's probably one of the most pettiest things I've read about this game since I've started working with Faerin. Usually people bitch and moan because of the "grind", or because this or that doesn't have enough content. No one, and I mean literally no one has complained you have to go through the tutorial... except you. If you don't like the fact that, God forbid, you have to go through the tutorial in its entirety (teh horrorz!!!111!), don't play it. There's many other games on here that will leave you mindlessly walking around trying to figure out just WTH you're supposed to do because the dev didn't stop and think a tutorial just might come in handy (imagine that!).

In short, let's agree to disagree and stop shoving your opinions on how the game should appeal specifically to you down our collective throats. Maybe try developing a game on your own. You can have as many (or as little) tutorials as your little heart desires. It's kind of "brain dead" to dredge this up with a game that's almost 4 years old, dont'cha think? ;)
