This game is still in Alpha. There is still quite a bit that needs to get done. Right now, things are just in the setup phase. He will move to the meat of it , soon enough. These next few updates, I would imagine that you are going to see more progression. He just took a poll on his patreon to see what most people wanted and it looks like we are going to see a uptick in the story for the Girls. So, just a little patience, and you won't be disappointed.

I like the idea, however this one is a bit tricky to implement, as I would have to basically write an in-game walkthrough,with each prequisite/condition for each star(textually, not scripted).
I think for games like yours it is to some extend needed. There are clues in the conversations, but those are easily missed. And some things are not clear at all until you use the written walkthrough. For me the best game is one that doesn't need that. In yours the buildup of stats is mostly easy to find. When you reach a progression event some of them stop working and you know that you must find another one. However for example Ashley you can always compliment her in the morning and that means that you can progress too far. At least I think that because I had a few times I really needed to start over again because progressions weren't working. The problem is that the progression events are not always clear. See the questions asked in this thread.
I haven't found a game yet which does it perfectly. But there are examples I like. In

essential clues in the conversation are bold. And you can repeat that conversations. But even here it is not always clear and sometimes you progress to far in a storyline so you block another. In the

there is a hint button which says where you should go next. And that doesn't disappear until you have done what must be done. However in this game it is not always clear what you must do. For example you're directed to your mom/hotel where you can find a valve. But it's pretty small and for me it wasn't clear that I must find that. In the sewer you can use the valve but is has to be in a specific order.Again I don't know a perfect example. But leaving the game to look at a walkthrough or searching forums like this for hints takes away the fun when you're emersed in the story. Just my thoughts and may be it will help you. From version 0.5.4 till the latest you already solved a phew other things -- for example the quick travel, the overall mood icon etc. -- which were distracting. Keep up the good work!
P.S. Another one solved is the really annoying alarm clock you start with
