Your browser probably recognizes the .xml format and displays it. In most browsers you can use the right mouse button to override that and choose download (Firefox: save link as) instead. I think copy and paste should work if you use a flat text editor like Notepad -- not Word or Wordpad! -- and save the file als mapping.xml

In version 0.6.0 there was already a mapping.xml and there you overwrite it. In 0.6.1 there isn't and you place it in the same folder were the .exe is.

Sorry my French is non-existent but if it helps here is a completed save from 0.6.0 so you can start 0.6.1 fresh you only need to open it and change your name

Ok, normally I try to ignore posts like these, but since you've brought it up again , let me ask you this: Do you honestly think I would "sell out" if Patron hadn't told me personally in several mails, spanning over 2 weeks, that I am required to change these things? Mind you, this is information I (again) personally received from Patreon, not something l that I've read somewhere or heard from someone, saying what (they think) is and isn't allowed (like yours). Sure I can be a hard-ass and act all cool and not comply to their demands and not "sell out", only problem is that would result in me losing my Patreon page, thus losing my income, thus being forced to spent less (or maybe no) time on my game, resulting in you no longer being able to play this game for free anymore, did you ever consider that?

In the end it's not that difficult to understand (at least I would think):
Patreon is not able to instantly review all the content (and probably won't pro-actively), but as soon as someone files a complaint, you're page will be reviewed (and blocked, if the rules are violated).
If you want to take the risk as a creator, be my guest, heck if Patreon wouldn't be reviewing me, I would probably have done the same thing, but one asshole is all it takes...

Patreon has asked me 3 times already, if I can name examples of other creators that are violating the rules!
Sure, I could be an ass an give them a (very long) list of creators that do and that didn't "sell out" like I did (according to you), but in my opinion that would be selling out!

Should have worded that a little better. I said 'kind of' I never meant it as an attack on you. I didn't even read the comment because I figured I would get heat for it. The game didn't change but the renaming of characters was something that you had no choice in, seeing how Patreon really does a pathetic job at explaining anything before going off and suspending creators/artists pages. And as I said before my understanding of the new Patreon rules has to do with the presentation of content on the site itself, 'key words', phrases, pictures. I have been talking with other creators/artists they had the same panic and shock over what they should be doing to 'clean up' their respective pages, that included changing the games title, and characters, but it really had nothing to do with the games themselves.

If you divert from the original vision of the game, to conform to a site like Patreon I see that as slight disappointment, I'm I going to stop playing the game NO, its got really good graphics, and you keep adding more to the content IE, the Pizzeria and the Casino, and whatever else you have in the future.

I do apologize, I see thats what the xml file is for. Funny part, I use to mod GTA San Andreas and I would search every file, and it didn't matter if I had a program to read it I would find one. I don't think I ever played around with xml files, cant even remember if I ever needed to.

with Patreon about the game itself and they told that it also had to change. Maybe at the moment other developers are lucky, but one complaint and Patreon will probably play the game itself and sees that it doesn't comply. It seems stupid if there new rules only applies to the public part of the page on their site.

The hack in this game is the solution. The developer can claim that his game follows the rules. A developer can't be responsible for what others do. The hack is pretty simple, just placing a mapping.xml file in the same directory as the game executable. It can also be used to create other scenario's as well :).

As I already expected, their rules go further than the public page. The first step is of course remove everything which is directly visible and so people think that it will stop there. Probably there support staff worked overtime just for this first step. If they are smart they will also have a list of names to check further :(. The quote in the Horny Family thread states that Patreon says:

Probably Faerin has similar statements and instead of gambling took a pro-active step. Good call I think although the above is troublesome if true. It means that Patreon is making there own laws :).

It was part of my job (several years ago) to improve UIs / Users experience.

So, I've thought of on another thing.
Because, sometimes, it's hard in the game what to do next, and this leads to an absolute necessitty of a walkthrough (that shows there is a pb).
So this interface, will show the current status for each girl, and provides hints for the next stages.

It's an interface to summerize in a single location all the informations for one girl.
So, you can display the Relation level (the stars) that are not displayed at all now,
display Heart/Lust/Dominance levels, and if they are maxed or not for the current relation level (and for the current update).
Finnally, each time you meet the girl in a location, it writes in this interface the location and the hour.

For this interface, I have thought of an "organizer" interface displayed when you click on the date (top left), but maybe you can do it with the smartphone.

carlo, if you want you can have my former french teacher. she should be now a gilf or something, just without the "ilf" ;D.

my, my, kids today, they grow up so fast ^^. and i'm still crowling around the 300 mark :coldsweat:

its a mod not a patch, because it doesn't fix any bugs...
if you search for mapping.xml in the option bar, you can find the answer immediately.

I agree that this is how most (non-technical?) people see a patch. But when you use Linux and compile programs you know that there are other patches as well. Earlier versions of OpenSSH had a chroot patch which didn't fix any bugs but added functionality. And in the Linux world there are many other examples as well.

So you could call mapping.xml a patch. It improves the story for some of us :). I don't remember but probably I have also used the word patch in earlier posts :).
