This week we are going to be 50% complete with Chapter 3 Part 2. And as for the animation update for Part 1, we are either going to get the one scene we need to complete it this week... or we look for a new animator, because we have goals to accomplish here.

Otter has had enough. While he's still a couple of months out from being able to animate on his own, this current animator has clearly not been either able or willing to get their work done in a reasonable timeframe.

Part 1 has one animation that he's waiting on, but I can't speak for how Part 2 will handle animations. Otter has the choice of either hiring a different animator for that update, or to not have additional animations until he's comfortable doing it himself.

I'm sure he'd love to hear your thoughts regarding which you'd prefer.

My thought is to just live without the animations and make static scenes that can be replaced with animation when the Otters are comfortable with it (I would check out the scenes in Grandma's House for examples, since that game has no animation but still has fun sex scenes).

This will be absolutely no help but I, personally, could handle waiting for an animator but I wouldn't complain at the idea of static renders as PH's until he's comfy doing them himself. That being said I'd also rather Not wait if a new animator is going to take more than like 2-3ish more weeks. Probably doesn't help but that's my $ .02

Placeholder still images is fine. In fact, I don't even need animations. I think it's probably too much work for the little benefit it gives, unless you are *really* good at it.

The story is the most important part, and I've loved this story so far.

To me the stories are of no real importance.
But graphics and animations are.
I want to play lewd games that do something to me.
Childish stories don't make me horny.

This is considered a VN as in Novel - this means text, words, story, The visual element is supposed to be supportive and not the main feature - that would be a comic.

Most 'storytelling' is too thin for me.
I get the feeling many 'stories' are made to connect the lewd scenes to each other.
I love the eyecandy and animations.
I think it's art.
That's the reason for me to play.

More to the point (from my perspective) is not that you shouldn't be playing AVNs, but that you don't need to complain ad nauseum about an AVN that is more "N" than "A" (even if you don't think the "N" is very good) ... Feel free to voice your opinion, but then it's time to find one more to your liking.

Ello Otters!

Welcome to May! We have a lot, and we mean a lot, of amazing stuff coming this month.
First and foremost, Otters get one more lewd from last month, and we are going to make it a little bit more nuaghty.
We have finally coerced our animator into animating... imagine that! We are also continuing to look for a second animator because Otters want boob animations.
That means that the animation update is finally coming out the first part of May. Then we are going to have a few weeks before the release of Chapter 3 Part 2! It's probably going to be the first week of June, about a week before Steam.
Part 2 is coming along in fantastic, swimming awesomeness. We have two more scenes to complete and it is ready to play.
Matrix Hearts is going to be amazing, and we can't wait for you to play!

They certainly are no Tolstoi literature. But they are important nontheless. Seeing two peoble bang is easy, there's no need for a VN for that, for a game even less so. But having a game or a novel with some kinky visuals is much much harder to find.
While I do appreciate the kinky scenes in a game or story, I often also fast forward them (definitly the vaste majority of BJ scenes). I am more interested in the situation than the act itself.
After I am done with the game, sure, then - if possible - I scalp the game data for good pinup/wallpaper shots to keep.
I get much more out of the visuals from a game if there are some good pinups (no cosplay, that usually is just silly) than if the MC screws everyone.
