So I just finished chapter 1 for the fist time and started playing chapter 2 and can't believe the downgrade in playstile. Is chapter 3 any better? Like actual hints so I don't have to have a walkthrough open all the time?

Yes, chapter 2 is the only one that's straight bad. Chapter 3 is pretty much like Ch 1. The quality of the later chapters will depend on your personal kinks, but their design is solid overall

If you're trying to do it for chapter 5, it doesn't work, that feature has been removed for some reason. That's why video pack 4 doesn't exist. If you want to have access to the whole gallery, you'll need to keep Ch4 around, and add those files to that part's "game" folder. There are such folders in "images". I also tried to throw video packs in them, it doesn't work.
That's it, I found the reason. In each ".rpy" file I changed the value 0 to 1. In the folders on the second screenshot.
