Seing that ''ABANDONED'' tag is the worst thing that ever happened to me in my Adult Games History after the ending of Acting Lessons.

For me it started with Greyinu's The Humbling Experience. I'm sure that the OGs will remember that one. At this point, I'm very used to it. If this is new to you get used to it coz this happens very often especially with your favorite one.

Not sure why the other guy thinks this is unprofessional. He isn't saying anything about Asmodeus' creative process that Asmodeus himself hasn't posted on this thread. The only difference is that Asmodeus' intransigence about cutting/changing stuff is interpreted in a negative light, which is to be expected. No way of telling who's in the right here since we don't have access to the relevant materials. What can ya do, things don't always work out.

But he's supposedly hired a writer so at least there's a chance this thing will be completed. Frankly if anyone gets hooked on porno gaems to the point where they get sad when they're abandoned, that's entirely on them.

Suzinak said the updates will come up faster and better now with the new writer. If this won't happen we will know better. Asmodeus updated the current state of the game in here, while also being patient with Suzinak and reaching out to him for a solution.

So yea.. I don't see the " thrown under the bus" part, too. Let's see if the dev will deliver what he promises. I have my doubts about that. Suzinak still made Asmodeus at fault for delays and progress on his part. That's the reason I don't buy his statement.

I have some news... Asmodeus(story writer) is no longer involved in this project. I would say it has some good and bad sides.

The bad side is that the story you've seen so far was produced by the old story writer and the old story writer is no longer with us.

On the good side, the old story writer was strict about not changing the story/scenario he wrote, which made it hard for me to translate the story into visuals. Because some scenes of the story/scenario (even if these scenes are unimportant to the story) are very troublesome to convert to 3D, and it was a huge waste of time for me.
I will be able to interfere with the game story with the new story writer. For example, I will be able to change a scene that is not very important to the story so that the render phase will go much faster, and I will complete the updates faster.

In short, I can say that I have a lot more freedom now.

I will not give a date for when the update will be released. But I will do my best to release it as soon as possible and make it much better than the previous chapters.

Tomorrow, I will activate the subscriptions that I have paused since January 1 to afford the new story writer.

Ah fuck, thats a bad news. We're all disappointed but what about you? You put a lot of work to crate whole story, we should remember that. I think it would be good idea to go with the story and use it in own project but since the game is in limbo and you're telling us Suzinak may use it in future updates it gets complicated. What I liked the most in original and your story was involvement of other persons in process of getting mom and son very close, including authorities like doctor (that's even better). The game was characteristic and highly praised for its attention to details and those interactions between them, so this explanation of Suzinak is weird to me. I don't buy it tbh, man.

In my mind I had a deadline for August, but a recent talk with Suzinak made it clear to me; there's no point in waiting a few days to announce it.

As I've shared in a previous post, the quality of the latest renders is not what I expected. And Suzinak shared that he's having difficulty creating the scenes I wrote. Specifically scene 3, for CH4.

To anyone curious, this is a brief outline of the scene with minimal spoilers (not that it matters anymore)

I will place the game as abandoned, but this doesn't mean that Suzinak won't continue working on this game with a new writer.

The script for the first chapter is already under way and the first renders are coming through and are amazing. To be honest I believe we all saw this coming, even though we hoped it wouldn't due to the game's quality. Personally I have a lot of respect for your patient and daily interacting here for all these months. I wish you success in your other ventures

The artist's decisions objectively should have the priority here given the mostly visual medium and the fact it's a porn gaem where the vast majority of users won't care if e.g the reason why the landlady has epileptic fits and then starts slapping PC's dick isn't explained clearly. And let's be honest here, most of the demands/appraisals of porno gaems based on "story" and "build up" are folks who can't bust a nut without getting edged/teased for nine hours. As opposed to how engaging the actual writing or story is.

That’s a fair point! And I agree that most porn games have that kind of dialog. See the very popular game Treasure of Nadia; the dialog can’t get more basic than that. And I enjoy this game for anything besides the story and dialog.

My point is that I want to create interesting stories. With evolving characters and deep backgrounds. I’m not here to write “fuck me landlady” dialogs. That’s why I departed. Because even though Suzinak started working again he wanted to cut corners on the script and story.



This is when we released CH3 on July 11. I think having a deep story is what made a Kinetic Novel a success. Ofc along with impressive renders and animations. And keep in mind that there are a lot of VN with great graphics and animations, but not a lot with good writing.

Whatever I wrote in all chapters has been approved by Suzinak. He had access to the live document as I was writing. This means that he could sit “over my shoulder” and watch every word written if he wanted.

Chapter 4 wasn’t written in secret and then presented to Suzinak. He was involved and we discussed every major scene before I took the time and effort to write it down.

It’s a year after I’ve written the script that the news came to me that “there’s no need to render this narrative scene”. So IMO there are no excuses. Something changed in his approach. Which is okay by me, but not what we initially agreed.

Don't try to continue the project with another artist. It wouldn't feel right. I would start from scratch with a new story and team up with another artist of very high quality like suzinak. Too bad he could not continue.

Well the magic thing with this is that I still have that story in my mind. And I can change it enough so that it has no relation to MMC.
The "measuring" part is not integral to the story. It's just a gimmick that was stuck from the initial Literotica story.
You remove that and add a new gimmick and it's a new game

And just a comment on Suzinak's explanation. People create their own truth and reality so they can go forward. Everyone does this. So, if that's what he needs to go forward, then I'm cool with it

It seems to me that he's trying to make the release go out with whatever the cost. Cutting corners on the story and cutting corners on the renders. I don't know I'm curious to see if he'll be able to improve on that. Because if you remove the story elements that make the Kinetic Novel interesting, and then you drop the quality on the renders, then what's left?
