Depending on your taste, I think Becca is hot but I do think Melody is the right name for the game. I can't wait for the next update, lol.

So, I think Mr. Dots has strewn these clues as red herrings, and he's sitting out there laughing at the speculation.
Seriously though, how could that possibly work out, if it turned out that the MC was Melody's father. They haven't done any more than kiss so far. But they have been placed in an 'interesting' position at the end of this last release. And the next release will boost the MC to the next Relationship Level. What is the next Level after Best Friend anyway? Some sexual contact will certainly follow. Not coital sex in this next release, but certainly much more than a kiss or two.
Whatever, sex with Melody is certainly forthcoming... eventually. There are 7 levels of relationship after all.
So then, what happens if they screw each other and then find out they are father-daughter? That's liable to end as badly in the game as it would in real life. So I'm not buying any incest angle for this game at all.
I could be wrong, and Mr. Dots has something figured out that will make sense... or not - it is just a porn game after all!

Yeah. We have "Dating My Daughter" for that. Mr. Dots will probably keep Melody's father identity mysterious until the end and not kill the possibility of the MC being her father just as some kind of homage to his other game, and for the people who enjoy to fantasize about it to have some more kicks. Remember, this game was born out of MrDots having to find a way to circumnavigate patreon's strict stance on incest content. So with that in mind, Melody is meant to have no incest in it whatsoever... or so we are lead to believe. It's known that this dev is quite defiant towards patreon as MrDots' initial incest patch for Dating My Daughter (which was made ways back when the whole incest ban-wave began) had a secret message in the file. This leads me to believe that the hints of MC and Melody being related might actually be true as a means of sneaking, yet again, incest content into the game. Of course, since patreon would likely crucify MrDots if he ever officially adds incest into this game, the theory of Melody and the MC being related will probably remain as that... a theory. I don't believe it'll be expanded on any further other than a subtle, very "4D chess" way of getting back at patreon for ruining Dating My Daughter - his original game.
With all that said, I do have my own theory as to how it would play out if assuming the MC and Melody are indeed related. It would be at the final version of the game where (now that it's completed) MrDots no longer has to host it on patreon so their incest laws aren't in affect anymore. It could be either a cliffhanger or may lead into a second chapter for Melody (the latter probably not so likely since he won't be able to develop it with patreon, but it could happen) if this game proves to be more beloved than expected among fans.

We will see Xianne again in a gentlemens club. Of course, the characters are schocked. Melody will learn that people sometimes have to do things they are not proud off to reach the end of the month. Plot twist: Xianne likes her dancing job! She just loves dancing in general.
Then waaaaaay later in the story... the MC and Melody have a choice. Recruit Xianne for the band! Maybe as background dancer or she has a hidden talent for the saxaphone, violin whatever. Melody, Sophia and Xianne will become a band with the MC as manager. This enables the harem/orgy routes with groupies etc..

The humor in this game is usually subtle and often refers to DMD scenarios. But there was one time I laughed out loud. I'm not actually sure whether it was intentional humor or not.
By the way, I think Mr. Dots is missing several other chances at humor. I really like the way he shows the thoughts of each of the characters, not just the MC's. It gives insight and depth to them that you would otherwise miss. However, there are often cases where he could juxtapose one character's thoughts against another's that could showcase irony. Since I love irony, I miss that he doesn't take advantage of that opportunity.
