@XCelesX I posted it a couple of pages back. In a nutshell, it sounds like he had a really bad bout of depression. Nef got out of a bad relationship, his kid went to college and he was all alone for the first time in a while. Then, he didn't shower for like 20 days (no hyperbole that is what he wrote). On the plus side, he said he is feeling better. However, one good day does not make the depression go away, lets be honest.
Not to be a dick, just being a realist, I do recommend tempering your expectations on an update "soon" or within "1 or 2 days". And you should really, really temper expectations of his "12 updates this year plan". Depression this bad tends to hinder progression of anything you love doing. But at the same time, if you have depression like this, you'd understand why he wasn't being as productive. But on the bright-side, I know he is OK, and will be stronger with some actual professional help.

If you mean the image I attached, it is with the purple hair gymnast character and it is in the canoe, when the rest of the girls take the ski boat back. It is an animated scene and her hand keeps clipping through the side of the canoe.

Nefastus has dropped 23 updates in the 28 months that this game has been on this website. That's an update every 5 weeks for over two years. That probably puts him among the most consistent and dependable devs out there.

If that track record hasn't allowed him to build up enough goodwill among this community for us to give him the benefit of the doubt and show him a little patience and a lot of support, then we're the most pathetically entitled bunch of porn Karens walking the earth.

Everybody take a breath and show some humanity.

All I can say is Nefastus really needs to stop giving us time estimates, not for our sake - example to prevent losing patreons - but for his own sake. Setting a deadline like that, and then being too depressed to work is forcing yourself to do a job you're not interested in. And then when you say 2 days more and it turns into a week, the pressure builds up and you feel more helpless at getting anything done. After all he did say the update was basically complete but he wanted to take another look at it and I assume he hasn't been able to do so because of his mental health.

With so many other developers trying to milk their patrons, I understand Nefastus wants to give us these deadlines. Not to mention how many of us (including me) do like to always ask when the update's gonna come out and adding pressure to him. But surprisingly, I find his community to be the most understanding compared to several other games. We trust him and also care for his health, and that's something Nefastus should know so that he can go back to working on his game in a more comforted manner rather than as a task he feels forced to complete.

Having said all that and not knowing what depression actually feels like, I still would appreciate a little more communication if possible, and while I also hope that we do get the update sometime this month at least, I wish that Nefastus can fully get himself back to normal and continue working peacefully moving forward.

Unfortunately, you're right. Depression this bad stifles creativity, and saps you of your will to do anything. Although, now part of the Discord, Nef seems to be doing way better. I hope he stays that way.
As a Patron, I am hopeful we'll see the update soon. How soon that ambiguous "soon" is, I am not sure, but I know Nef is pounding away at his keyboard right now trying to deliver that good shit! I'm sure like most creatives, he just want's to make sure it is perfect.

Personally I play with all the characters in this game, open your minds and give it a shot, there are some great story lines to be explored and all the writing and dialog is pretty damn good. But to be fair and honest, I don't 'share' my wife with other men, but I play the wife Love route, and she sure shares me if I play my cards correctly. And I LOVE the fabulous MOD Midlife Crisis - Courteous Mod + Walkthrough by thanks for the demos .

To the update complainers/whiners as Korben Dallas said so succinctly below, this is now 24 updates in 28 months, you people need to calm down.
