Before installing make sure:
1. You have copied your original file from gamefolder/Midnight Sin_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp.dll
2. You have saved in game, before modifying your Assembly-CSharp file.

If something goes wrong - just rewrite the file with the original one and restart the game from the savepoint of warning #2.

How? Someone that knows their way around Unity could prob just make a mod that unlocks save-anywhere. Shit like this is why I prefer Renpy (even though some devs fuck that up too by removing default functions to annoy everyone).

It's the same for multiple versions now

Are you trying to extract it to any system folders (ex: Windows, Program Files (x86), Program Files, or Users)? Or are you using a 32-bit OS?

Why did you waste your (and every other incest fans') time making it stepcrap? Better to go all-in with blood relatives or don't bother. Faerin has implemented something to decrease love stats that where above 22 points (because this is the correct number that you can achieve at the moment in the game), if you have higher number it means that you have triggered multiple times a bug from a previous game version

but then shouldnt it have stopped at 22? also this is the only game version ive played. to be fair i do have the cheat mod installed which gives bonus points from interactions but thats the only thing i can think of that would give a bugged amount of stats
