The M1 is a computer that uses an ARM based chip. The Mac OS versions usually are made for the older mac x86 that use intel.

Are you using the spacebar to move to the next piece of dialogue? The spacebar in this game skips the entire scene rather than progressing forward to the next dialogue line. What you've described sounds like that's what's happening, but I can't be sure. If you're using Space, try LMB instead. That's the best way to continue the conversation step by step.

Not yet, sadly. I get that it's the MILFs' Resort, but the developer's already teased her potential (topless scene), so I'm definitely looking forward to something with her later. I hope it happens, in any case.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. A new release happened less than a week ago. It's still being developed, so you shouldn't worry about it, at least not right now.
This release was not Mom-focused. Also, this has been asked and answered already on this thread; search is a wonderful thing.
Let's hope that the game don't enter again in the limbo for another year or two.
There is typically a lengthy pause between updates. I would expect at least 6 months, but very possibly more.
Is complete ok with this, not every developer is able to do an update every month, but the last ones (or i must say the lack of them) was more than an year without anything, even his patreon was under review for a long time, no info about anything. It literally got me by surprise to see him back.
It was a really long time, it's true. It normally is quite a while between updates — just not that long — so maybe check back in September or October.
