Well, that's one good way of creating pressure TO move things forward. For one thing, donating $10 is not a lot for many people, they simply do it out of inertia. But once disappointed people create a negative and true exposure of his doings, his patrons count will drop / people will stop donating and that will hurt his income, forcing him to react. He won't give up such an income, that's for sure, and this leads him only to actually supply what he promised. There's no other option.

So he actually confirmed the animations were not even done when 0.6 was released. I thought they were done but he had some problems implementing them :S And they are still not done lol. Well at least over 100+ animations sounds good.

What ever he's doing, he's really doing it wrong. Instead of going back to small and somewhat regular updates, to maybe regain some trust he's trying to convince people with some big numbers, which then again won't be enough anyway. Well, we'll see how it goes.
It seems like it won't be enough...but he keeps gaining patrons...go figure

So i ran some numbers cause i'm bored as fuck and should be studying, also thank you random internet guy the reason i'm joining is for degenerates like us to be able to fap to all the porn we can find, and please anyone tell me if this is wrong, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who has done this but i'm not gonna read through 1887 pages of replies
But judging from Graphtreon, the last amount we are able to see that icstor was making was in 2017, where he made around $8 per patron (calculated average) and had about 1400 patrons, meaning he pulled in around 11,100 a month, with a 5% patreon cut that gives us $10,545 a month. So if we follow that trend and use the calculated average of that year, and apply it to this month, that would mean that icstor pulled in, from his 7823 current patrons, $62,584 from one month after patreons cut we get $59,454, which i dont know how patreon works as I'm not a content creator on there, but he just pulled in a lower middle class family's salary in a single month. If we use the average amount of patrons he had this in January of 2019 (5,300ish), then we'll get $42,400 for one month, $40,280 after patreons cut, times that by what 10? cause he halted payments for 2 months? We get $402,800 minimum in this single year. Assuming taxes and shit icstor will make out with well over a quarter of a million dollars from doing some of the slowest work i've ever seen
This is the kind of shit that makes me not want to donate to him, simply because he has proved time and time again to be unreliable and untrustworthy, the guy is making bank from sitting on his ass and crying about having "mental health problems" as if we all arent fucked in the head ourselves

It cant possibly cost that much to make his game, i've seen indie devs do so much more with so much less, hat in time's original kickstarter budget was like 300,000, and icstor has made so much more money than that and has delivered so much less content in the 2+ years hes been developing this

Considering the underwhelming size of this "extra large" update, i wonder where he will fit those 100 animations. Sounds like a bullshit number to me. But lets see

I'm just playing devils advocate here but maybe earning a shit ton of money and feeling responsible for having to deliver on this fiscal trust has just locked icstor into a loop of depression and inadequacy? I mean, being "in way over his head" would do that wouldn't it? I do think that if he's a one man band and he's getting that much money donated then he needs to pull his head out of his ass and employ some help because he's not doing enough work to keep up alone. And this is what I think all those creators that are struggling to put out content but still taking in large donations should do. Pay people to help you.
Someone should set up an agency to help struggling creators and connect them with programmers and artists in order to propel the work along.
