I've repeatedly posted in support of ICSTOR in this thread, even got a little heated from time to time, but I'm not one to defend devs blindly, just because I like their games.
The guy has lost a lot of credit with me for what he pulled with this update.

I think it will hurt him, because no way can the update provide anything that makes up for almost 10 months without an update.
And even if you don't count the months he was on hiatus, by now it's just fucking ridiculous how long this takes.
He clearly doesn't want to work on this game any more, which tbh is a pattern we have seen with him a few times already, where he would finish a game with a half-assed last update.
If not this update, then the next one will probably be the last one.

I think the problem of most games is that the current technology (Daz3d) is too time consuming. A game needs many years to take shape using theses tools and it's insane. It will remain like that until there is a newever tech.

I gotta disagree with that. It's all about how people utilize what they have. And that goes for anything. Look at Star Citizen as an extreme example. They have a game that is super buggy and has problems running because of poor utilization. I think the thing that makes some devs on here take longer is not utilizing the tools they have. If I had the money, I would update my comp to better support rendering and allow me to pump out stuff faster, rather than having to find shortcuts. Enough money, I would get a computer solely dedicated to rendering.

It's almost like donating to Patreon in a lot of cases will make them work slower if they start getting some real money through it. Milfy City is one of the best adult games ever made, but this last update has taken nearly a full calendar year that is just insane.

If he want to continue make porn games,he definitely can't finish the game suddenly like he did with IC 2 and MV.Especially Milf's Villa was with one of the stupidest ending we have-MC finaly was fucking his mom and sister and the game ends less than a minute later.

I wouldn't bet anything on that... there have been other authors/devs that followed that same pattern... than they started a new project and fell back into old patterns... ICstor is hardly the first and by far the last to fall to that... the worst part is that these devs only seem to suffer short time from running patrons, as each new project make them big earners again...for atleast a year until they feel confident enough to slow down or take leaves of absence (sometimes even less)

I don't wanna defend the dev nor I want to be rude , but clearly you just don't know how hard it is to create a game , I am game designer my self and even I have team and we are doing this full time for living. it takes us 4 months to create a sand box game like this with roughly 30 min game play.

from point of a player everything is easy , he just picks up a model doing some computer stuff and then BAAAM we have cool game.

but keep in mind for 1 single image ( Render ) that you see in this he usees , Daz , maya and photoshop and trust me I am animating for almost 2 years now and this stuff takes a tons of time to get done,

i don't want to mention , other things such as writing , coding and creating overall a good game balance

also keep in mind he can't just do this job as full time job, for me yea it is easy , 8 am to 2 pm or even more but he can't just do this openly ,

like say hey everyone I am doing porn game you are very welcomed to watch naked lady on my monitor, long story short he is doing his best as dev to give us a update

he clearly loves to do porn games , because with his skills he can earn way way more money and repetition in a bigger studio

so chillout go play some other games and enjoy it once you you have the update .

1 is optional, the other can be done with small amounts of money. "Events" aren't a necessary and Publicity is all about public relations. 6 months with out updates should mean death of the support.

And what makes him a non man child in your opinion? Coming here and telling everyone his plans/update schedule? Releasing less content at a faster rate? Making only serious games for serious people? I may not like the guys work ethic or the time it takes to update, but I don't call him a manchild for it. But apply all of those traits to other devs, and you have AAA studios that are "man children".
