Well then I'd say you're someone who needs to look at the fine print because in none of his tier descriptions does he guarantee a delivery date. Sounds to me like you expected to get more for you money than was offered in through the patreon site. It's all very contractual.
Personally, I've always gotten everything promised to me in my tier description. But maybe I'm the odd man out on this one.

It's just bizarre at this point that after a protracted development period with multiple delays, he'll just release a half-finished update. I get it it's a pirate site and we have no moral highground to stand on but this is just pisspoor management and delivery.

So yeah, the "65% done" and "all of Caroline stuff finished" looks really suspect right now.
It's looking more and more like he was bullshitting during the January-March time period where the update got to 65% completion. It honestly seems like he didn't work on it at all after the Christmas update.

We have encountered a lot of game - breaking BUGS this time around and need to patch them out..

Not at all. I can't speak for all but for me this place just forum where you can find some new releases, check updates and discuss about games. I support couple dev, but this is just not acceptable.
We have many good people who actually can support indi game development, and all these people spend own money on SHIT. Coz many dev just milking people, they don't want to develop game they just WANT MONEY MONEY MONEY MORE MONEY. I really feel bad for these people.
Its so funny reading those posts trying to deflect the whole thing or just trying to shame on "pirates".
If there werent sites like this one,they wouldnt have any kind of advertisement at all.There are so many developers with borderline garbage (buggy) games and just decent renders who can make a living.If there werent sites like this one,where would they advertise their games?
How many games would be successful (in the same level as right now) if they didnt have those sites to make their games known to the rest?
Without a way to make your game known to the others,like this forum,if your game isnt top notch,it will be among the mediocrity that the vast majority of the "developers" show nowadays.

Icstor missed his own deadlines multiple times now. He certainly lost the buyer's trust, or at the least my trust. You didn't answer my other question. Should we keep staying silent when others could immitate him. Am I not allowed to make fun, speculate or complain about his excuses when there is danger that he could inspire developers/games that I care more about? As long as it's all within the rules of this forum I'd say why not do that.
Oh wow. It's a bit baffling to see this happen considering how consistent he was with his previous updates of Mifly City. Delays happen at times, but delay after delay after delay and then no animation to boot apparently? Something that he was consistent at? And he has completed games in the past.
I could understand if it's a big update, and it supposely is, but assuming if he isn't intentionally milking the customers, I think the management is off. In this case, maybe it's better to ask the fans if they want stories in smaller increments and wait less or larger portions and wait for a long time. I don't know if that's what he did or not tho. Or maybe say it'll be done when it's done, and don't give the fans that much expectations of a due date until you are confident it's ready. Maybe just show some pics or something.
Compared to Man of the House and Dating my Daughter, whose consistency is on point, this really sucks for ppl who eagerly waiting/paying for it. Despite everything, I don't know what's going on behind the scenes. And granted, I think the renders and animations are better here than like 99% of the games here, at least that I played. So it takes time, but it's been a year pretty much and nothing to show for it as of yet because of delays. I still would rather it be delayed than it being crap. So, there's that. But the thing that trips me out is that the updates used to be more consistent and on time than 0.6.
If the update do comes out, hopefully it'll be great. Hopefully the content will be sexy and cool. I'll be a little disappointed if it doesn't come out and get cancelled, but there are other games and activities to do.

People keep mentioning a release date of 10/10 and its not coming out then. Thats when its going out to the beta testers. He's stated clearly that he doesnt know when he'll release the game.
So if the Caroline renders was done before the break but not animations, and if the neighbours content is little what's ICstor did since June ?

I thought about this a few weeks ago. Say you were a $100 pay pig for several month's without a game release. Are you then owed a secret pic for each of those $100 payments one for each "subscribed" month? Or does it work where you are only allowed the first secret image when you first start that tier and not the consecutive following month's you are at that tier?
I guess if he had lets just say 10 $100 patrons then he could owe as much as 100 secret images for this update in order to satisfy obligations. You can do the math for whatever his advertised tier limit slots.
The $100 support level makes less and less since when you consider any update frequency less than once per month.
I never intimated you can't or shouldn't. My original response was merely pointing out the irony inherent in some people criticizing Icstor's Patrons (not Icstor himself, but his pattrons) and then turning around and asking those same patrons to post the updates.
This invariably led to the discussion in which I stated it's my money and I"ll do with it as I please. Just as I encourage others to do whatever they want with theirs. Any conversation beyond those two points wasn't being had by me.
