Glad I lost every interesst in the game months ago. Reading this circus show thread needs some real masochist vibes. Close it, it turns in circles. Bad dev, stupid dev, no you stupid patron, no you stupid pirate, good work needs time, he's lazy, milking, some random insults, every ten pages some smart ass mentioning the thread should be closed because it turns in circles. Repeat. Just like in this Tom Cruise movie, just without any, any progression

Also this thread costs F95 lots of money! did you read about the installment of a new DB server?! Yeah, that's because of you folks, posting in this thread the same stuff again and again! Maybe a monetizing system on f95 would be good, called pay-per-post?!

We do not know whether the animations are done or whether he's in the middle of integrating them in a new build or if there's been bugs while adding the animations. Anything beyond that is speculation and should be ignored ;p

Code-wise, somebody already illustrated how simple it is to render animation files (basically webm files) using renpy. A hunded other developers have done it and I absolutely don't see a reason why the tried and tested routine of playing video files should introduce bugs.

There's been many pages of ridicule - what's been accomplished? Did his sub count go down? Is he releasing the update any faster? If people were less entitled, they'd be less disappointed.

I stand by that statement - I don't think anyone has a right to tell others what to do with their money. It's simply none of their business. If you think that it should be allowed, then I'm telling you to buy me an RTX 2080, I could use an upgrade (pretty unreasonable, right?)

I don't get why people are so upset!? This game has been without updates for almost a year now.
I can understand being upset after 3-4 months, but 11 months?

People that are Patrons after all this time, obviously, does not mind the delay and the ones that are still paying and complains are just fools.

The rest of us non payers (IMO) should just ignore this game until an update appears. It's like going to the Dual Family thread and expecting an update...not going to happen.

But will he?
I never was much of a fan of his before (I hated his RPGM games) but even back than it was impossible to not come along some of his games and news... and as far as I remember he NEVER did something like this last year EVER before.
His past reputation might be double edged in regards to finishing games with "Happy" Endings... but he never was suspected of milking his supporters or failing to actually deliver.

I know I shouldn't but let's make a comparison with RL... followeing your logic you shouldn't complain if a government you didn't vote for, tries to enact a law that will have you pay for something that negatively effects your own freedom.
Sadly there is no way to openly discuss such things with ICStor on any of his "public" Forums.
What's left is to bring your message to the masses by takeing it on the street... problem is you'll attract those order loveing people trying to shut that down to return to law and order...
Friday for Future would have certainly failed in it's birth hours if all people were like that.

Disingenuous argument for a few reasons:

• porn games or their developers are not equal to a form of government
• your right to protest and free speech does not apply to privately owned websites (given you live in a country that provides these freedoms; this site is not a government entity, therefore those freedoms are not observed)
• not having a porn game doesn't affect your personal freedoms

You should definitely do something if your government becomes oppressive. As bad as the argument you're trying to make is, I understand what you're trying to say ... however, you're not making an impact in his sub count or the release time.

I understand you want the game, so do I .. but being miserable about it and trying to make everyone else miserable about it is just not productive. Play other games, non porn games, go outside, see a movie, etc. There's more to life than being upset at some dev that doesn't care what you, or anyone else that's upset thinks.

wow... this whole thread on up is trollish, hate, spite, and pissed infused chattering about a game that on its own makes some other games look either good by updates or bad in renders... don't get me wrong slow updates are a pain BUT WOW THE HATE! some are even just shit posts that give zero insight on why the game is bad and that is just sad... if you want a game to move fast go play forza just know its getting old hearing the " why so slow" and " this dev [insert hate for dev]" tropes is off putting and makes me want to see another update regardless of wait time... maybe the dev is trolling back to haters and or things may seem better but that's kinda hard to tell and regardless hate for dev is nothing but that... i like the game I may even be a bit mad at dev but hoo boi you guys got a blister that may have popped in yalls meat twigs. last thing I would be legit mad at is if the haters saying things about the money comes true because if any of you are supporters then yeah... that will be hurtful and I cant think of a better way to give sympathy to you ( no im not giving anyone money its spent from yourself you make more of your own cash lol) but I work I have a patron with some here not this game or summertimesaga but I expect if I do spend money on em ill stop the flow if I see its not being used properly. oh by the by if you have gripes on that then yes stop giving them money if you think its being wasted. that said yall need to calm down and those that have a stake in this game you all know better its nothing new we all got to turn off the hose at some point. one last thing don't come at me with hate im getting real here its nothing against anyone but if you don't like the game OR the dev move on im not going to argue or reply to anything or anyone who hates them its childish to do so and like I said move on after you read because I don't do hate posts unless its about the end of the updates which would be a shit move after all the money this game is making.

I'm surprised someone getting 50k/month doesn't sink some money into servers. I work for an animation studio. I'd rent a quarter rack in a datacenter and buy four or five supermicros wth GPUs and just run my own farm and crank out the renders.

close to what I said. When your livelihood involves having fast computers and involves needing to have data the number one thing you'd need to invest in is better gear and system backups. Render speed and data loss should not be issues at all for him. It would literally take a fraction of what he makes in a single month to straight up have a super computer built just for rendering and backup storge. At this point we can only propose 3 arguments about icstor. 1) he's imcomptent as all hell or 2) he's milking costumers 3) He's super lazy.

Tbf it's more understandable to be upset right now compared to 3-4 months into the delay since the game was actually meant to be released now and instead the dev releases an announcement stating another delay, "expected" to be ten days but will be "definitively" be released this month (read: up to 21 more days believing he delivers his promise).
What I don't understand is complaining on a pirate thread of all places over and over.
Hell, it took me 5 pages of backward reading to reach an actual link to the news

yeah I agree but that has to be at best something along the lines of what the dev does and conveys to us but yeah if it aint getting anymore updates that is what will make me angry the most... yeah people can talk about the game in general but does talking about what the dev is doing or what he says worth it? well I refer to the stopping of the game that is a noteworthy subject but giving a comment about " dev is stupid" should be banned its not needed and if there is something beyond that sure go for it as long as it gives a insight that is relevant or fact checked im down.

oh yeah if this game dies which lets all agree on if this game stops getting updates in like a span of a year id stop giving money maybe even less then that if your in need of a update but yeah turn the hose off if you see it being killed my guys and gals its not a bad thing to show the dev a firm response to get him or her ass up from being slow.
