I've said this before but sadly he just doesn't have a strong follow through. He creates a great initial game filled with characters you want to see explored, then gets bored and rushes through development of whatever project he's doing at the time. People can wait for updates, as long as the update is actually coming.

A good example of this would be DrPinkCake and Phillygames who take around 3-4 months per update but actually update. Icstor has a lot more games under his belt but they're all pretty short and lack the content the other big creators have in their games.

You'd be amazed how people will have a recurring bill and forget about it for months or years. I started using Youneedabudget and it doesn't take long to track down every little recurring bill and start trimming fat. Seriously everyone needs to budget and if his patrons did his subs would be dropping like a stone.

Compressed version? If Yes, download the normal version.
If not, make sure that you have the rights to run it. Make sure that the game is not on the system disk. Make sure antivirus is not blocking the game, add the game to the exclusions of the antivirus or firewall.
It is also possible that you have a mod installed that leads to errors.
If you downloaded the game from the site, check the archive for errors. If you downloaded a torrent, re-hash the distribution.

Instead of choosing the second option to get some sort of closure, a majority of them opt in the former one instead, thus enabling him to drag the development for BOTH games out for as long as possible to maximize his profit... No that was actually a smart decision (using smart loosely here lol). Its either focus on milfy city only and get one update a year because "Her guys I am burnt out again and need another paid vacation" or work on both projects simultaneously and at least hope to get reasonable content from one of the games. Although the really smart decision would probably be to stop paying him but we know that's never gonna happen

When I started playing this game I loved it and still do.. Hope he at least finishes Caroline's route! I want to marry her!!!

That's whats frustrating and frankly disingenuous with his statements. There is so much left open to work in the current game it's not even funny. It basically would be like working on a new game since several of the characters/locations have had place holder in dev statements since the beginning. Plenty of new character models and stories to work. He's not burnt out and bored with the current game. He's just looking for a cop-out.

Just communicate, which is exactly what I will do once I start my day. Like a weekly update to my backers to let them know what I worked on, if there's going to be a delay or anything else. If I were to guess, you kind of lose the motivation to communicate if you after say 20 weeks still haven't made any progress, especially if you've already made a few promises about changing things and soon having something to release. I'm not defending anything, I just think things can get real difficult once you've fallen down that hole.

I suppose yeah, once you've given up you will also not put in the effort anymore to keep backers updated, unless it's absolutely required and even then it'll be excuses.
