You're only thinking linearly and forgetting variables. If the end product of MC and ToN had equal content then your linear way of thinking would be sound. if we took NLT's last project which I enjoyed, Lust Pandemic, that took about 2 years of development. That completed game still has less content in terms of renders/animations than the unfinished MC. When ToN gets finished it will too have less content than MC, but will still be a superior project imo because the story and content per character will be properly paced and balanced.NLT is functionally making and completing ToN over a two year timeframe. Milfy City has been around 2 and a half years, and it's maybe 60% completed, with lots of plot and story elements either going nowhere or completely unexplored. If ICSTOR had a partner/project manager, maybe he could manage quarterly updates and have this thing done by next year sometime.
ICSTOR's main problem is trying to make MC as massive as possible for a VN/sandbox hybrid. Which can hinder motivation for a single person, because he's definitely overdoing it. As much as I love all the lewd scenes with Linda and Caroline, the content created for them combined is already more than probably all the lewd scenes from all the characters from Lust Epidemic combined. That is just overdoing it because it is at the cost of quality for the rest of MC. Milfy City could have been completed ages ago if he just cut out the fluff and just focused on the main family, the aunt and her partner and the teacher. The twins could be sacrificed, the neighbors not important, that Harley Quinn looking wannabe don't need it. Balance the content for all IMPORTANT characters while having a properly paced story, project done, moving onto a fresh new VN or game people can look forward to.
