The abandoned tag wouldn't be appropriate. This game needs the Mafia'd tag. I'm starting to believe that these " money laundering front " theories aren't that far-fetched. Anyone here is actually one of his patrons ? Is his discord active ?
I have no idea why people keep thinking that Patreon is a good front for money laundering. What's more likely:

A) Organized crime would use a public website that keeps full records of easily-traceable electronic payments and keeps 5-12% of the cash to launder maybe 40-50K a month while using an extremely high-profile creator as a frontman

B) There are a few thousand simps who'll happily pay $10 a month for the promise of seeing some nicely-rendered boobies having animated sex

Considering there are people in this world who've paid for things like dirty panties and Belle Delphine's used bathwater, I think you can guess which one. And yes, his Discord is very active with a lot of very white(-stained) knights.

The game is good, it's clear that some real effort was put into it, there was someone who really wanted to make a great product with this game, and he did.

If there was something like a laundry money plot behind or something like this they just could've released a shitty game tu catch a few bucks quickly and done, they didn't have to make such good characters and such good story and put so much effort into this.

My thoughts are that the creator of this game simply got bored of working on it and dropped the project, though I wish he came back to work on it soon.

But its not abandoned, he said that he was going to finish the game with the next update
Exactly lol. By posting on his Patreon that he will be releasing MilfyCity 1.0 in 2021 (don't hold your breath) he keeps people on the leash a bit longer. I can't believe he still has 5603 patrons (as of tonight).. Project X must be awesome to still have that many patrons after what he did with this game...

It's more likely that it's money laundering. Have you never heard of identity theft?

Using 5,600 stolen IDs to launder dirty money through Patreon is like using a $5,000 gaming rig to surf the internet using the Windows Virtual Keyboard. You'd have to coordinate that many accounts to start with, and since Patreon only takes credit cards and bank transfers you'd have to move the money through banks anyway so why add the extra middle-man? There's so many other ways to launder money that would result in way higher returns on investment with much less visibility.

ICSTOR's continued support is porn's version of Occam's Razor: the simplest explanation involving sad horny people is usually the right one.

Not true... Patreon accepts PayPal and you can bind the same PayPal account to several Patreon accounts as all you need for it is a valid E-Mail adress for the confirmation E-Mail.
It's not impossible but the dark net has far better Options with higher security towards anonymity

That's a significant drop in 2 days... When I checked on the 30th he had 6024.

I still standby my assertion that they aren't the same patrons month to month. This is the #1 rated game on all sites and has quite a lot of teaser vids on youtube/pornhub et al.

It was my first game, as I was unaware games like this existed until I randomly stumbled on a youtube teaser.

I suspect most play the game and then subscribe for more without realizing he's mentally ill (by his own admittance) and then get informed later or just aren't invested enough to look for information beyond that for a few months. That's how he's survived this long and will continue to do so as long as he's rated #1 (by views) on all sites.

Which is basically shorthand for "credit cards and bank transfers" since that's how you get money into a PayPal account (or from someone else, who put their money into PayPal through a credit card or a bank transfer). There's really not a good way to turn raw cash into electronic currency without going through a bank at some point, which means the classic options like cash-based businesses or messing with money orders are needed first. Afterwards, as you said there's much better ways with higher anonymity to get the job done. Heck, tying yourself around ICSTOR's neck at this point would just be a headache; everybody's screaming at you all the time and focusing intently on how much money you're making, which is the exact opposite of what you'd want if you're trying to hide cash

I never understand why its so difficult to finish a game, he absolutely doesn't need to work at all, he makes plenty of money to focus solely on this project. and the benefit of actually completing a game is way more beneficial just look at acting lessons and don't be a dik. if he actually completed it and made some modifications he could put it on steam, and that's why visual novels will never be taken serious and never go the next level and be an actual genre that will be taken serious because its nothing but abandoned and incomplete games by developers who would rather take are money and play on our emeotions.

If he would finish the game, he couldn't milk money from stupid simps anymore just by doing nothing but putting an effortless announcement out about delay every third month, which would mean that he would have to actually start to work to keep his patrons. He also benefits more by taking monthly income from Patreon instead of putting the game on sale in Steam, so it's obvious he doesn't want to go there. Why in the world would he want to start actually working when he can just sit on his ass and snort cocaine from cheap hookers ass cheeks all day long when stupid neck bearded fat ass virgins pay his luxury life. :KEK:
