Well, you know. His goal is to earn money first and foremost. It doesn't even require him to care about this place specifically really. Its a sound logic to keep up with the communication in some form. Its not just his project that proves that if you keep up the communication you can get by without any contet for virtually any amount of time really.I wouldn't put it past him

This much I understand; as much as I may not appreciate the way he goes about generating money.
But ~6K people believing every word that spills from his mouth is kind of cathartic. And not in a good way.

Most other such project don't have a history. He built up today's numbers with past projects. He created games, he covered up their rushed/unfinished state with finalizing patches and now uses his previous titles as certificates. Guarantees. People are much less inclined to believe a content creator who doesn't have a past.
Icstor seemingly has a respectable past. People are much likely to fall into its trap. That hey, he will surely keep continuing, he did that with all those previous games! How many such posts were made over this thread?
Its an effective method. But he basically lives of his past, which past is somewhat of a lie as well but history is written by the victors. His version of his own history is that he totally completed those games. Those who joined later? How they suppose to know this isn't exactly true. Why they should believe to any of those who are saying it isn't true.
Like it or not Icstor is either talented or skilled or just simply cunning enough to know how to do this. The meantime, his content is still content. We still liked to play his content. Its just so annoying that he is unable/unwilling to finish what he started.
He is like a sentient orgasm denial. He ruins it all the time.
Once the abandoned tag is put on a thread it can't be removed without a new version, so a post wouldn't do anything. When the mods wouldn't put an abandoned tag on scumdrop because he kept posting "news updates" I wrote up a rather long post explaining why the tag was needed and a day after the tag was put on... might do the same here.Imagine that Icstor posts to Patreon about Milfy City one day after receiving the abandoned tag here. Just to get it taken away again.
Edit: The post was not as long as I remembered. I thought I quoted every post of scumdrop's that were titled the exact same thing for ~2 years straight but I just quoted the first one.

What actually hurts is that he started the right way - a simple, short game (Robot Touch or something) - but found himself being bored halfway through most of his projects. He's learned what works to generate money for him but unfortunately it's from the general gullibility of humanity. Most of us want but can't see beyond our own noses.
It's his "rush to completion" mentality that is most cemented in people's minds.
In the case of this game, I wanted Judy and Sara to get some love (okay, I love jamming up Sara's lovable butt) but when the fanbase bayed for more and more Caroline, Milfy City left a poor taste in my mouth. You should never let your highest paying Patrons have creative control. Only control over BONUS content.
Milfy City started with such promise. If only ICSTOR wouldn't lose his focus and enthusiasm all the time.
(slightly O/T: I wanted to create my own game a while back but found out before making a playable demo that my vision outstripped my abilities at the time.)

Now that you said that and Icstor comes here to read this, he will immediately do a post just to be sure.
I swear that this happens with every game, and it's sad to see how the devs are so scared to lose these highest paying Patrons that they will just obey them and do the exact thing that Icstor did...until they eventually lose the interest to the project or drive themselves to the corner where they can't find a way out and can't reach the potential that the game has.

But seriously. Wasn't that the case all the time? Whether we like certain type of content and/or character, his games always did a good start for those who like such content. I sure do. I was very excited with Milf's Villa. I definitely like Incest Story as well.
For me it was Linda and Judy really with City. I couldn't care less about Sarah. But in the end we are all disappointed. No matter what character piques your interest, when the game is dropped like this, it all burns.
I think its his own personal interest what is the problem. Not really the influence of high-tier patrons. He completed Milf Control nicely. And goddamn the mc in that one was such a massive asshole i couldn't stand it. But lo behold he finished that game.
I genuinely think that he is more into that stuff, the whole blackmail pseudo-rape thing and its the fact that he garnered a vanilla audience combined with patreon limitations, he is stuck with something he doesn't really like.
How long you'd be able to do porn that is totally not your thing. He just loves the money the meantime.

Who knows to be honest I just fail to see someone that's made there living off of doing adult games to suddenly be sitting in there chair one day and go " You know what i have been doing this kind of work faithfully for a long time now and i have decided i am going to stop for good then scam and screw every single person over that has believed in me and contributed to me for so long and take all there money and then ruin everything i built" Does that sound logical at all to you? What i am saying right now is that there is something really missing here and what ever the heck that actually is well we won't know until he actually says something himself although i do believe waiting forever is not okay so i think at some point if he does not make a peep then just mark the game as abandoned and then unsub from his patreon. Maybe i was to over enthusiastic and i let my emotions take control of me a little bit and i apologize for that the only reason that it did though was because i like this game a lot and it would not be funny at all if it disappeared. I do want to say one final thing though that if he does decide to come back and he gives a pretty good reason as to why he has been silent for so long then it was not him that ruined the game it was all of you that did and that's exactly how its going to be looked at. Either way i am done discussion it and i am just gonna stop hoping and trying to save the game. I am gonna try and find something else to play maybe i will hopefully find something to get my mind off of this

The meantime i find it hilarious how is still unable to create that part of the content he was responsible for because we know everyone else did their job and that he actually wasn't doing the content, just a slice of it.
I cannot help but imagine situations like for example he runs into a hospital with whatever issue and the staff just says "Naaah, we aren't in the mood for treating. Come back next year. Will be $800 the meanwhile. Have a nice day."

I always wanted more Judy content. All of Linda's seemed to stem from her feeling sexually unfulfilled but gravitating towards her own son (if using the incesty patch) (or someone half her age - what a cougar if not using the incest patch) never sat right with me. It always seemed FORCED.
There are games that use Mind Control, drugs or manipulation but this...

Problem on this thread really isn't that he doesn't say anything, it's the fact that there is absolutely NO TRUTH behind anything he says anymore. He has been caught red handed lying multiple times already by his patrons, and he has even admitted them at one point that he didn't work the game for FOUR MONTHS even when he said to do so and yet he still draw money from those months. One update shouldn't take a year to do, especially when we talk about Renpy adult games and when his job is to do renders in DAZ studio. Yet he still has gone for over 15 months without any updates for this game. How much longer do we need to wait him maybe possibly drop something before calling him out? Two or three years? He doesn't come back with good reasons, because his only reason to delays is always his "mental health", which is absolutely bullshit he has made up. He just doesn't like this game anymore, hasn't liked it in two years. But it's good that you finally woke up to this day and gave up your hope with him. That's what we have come to terms with two years ago.

Well fucking put. Letting a group of random people tell you what to do with YOUR game is the single most counter intuitive approach to development and progression.
