That's why I come at this from my own viewpoint with Caroline, "taking control" of the MC's mind and emotions when I play this game. Yeah he's not muscular and all that, but with Caroline, he does have his way with words when it comes to her, even she says so and he does have a lot redeeming qualities in the storyline with her.
All that deal crap aside; saving Violet, helping around the store (pictures, cleaning up after the robbery, working the register) doing the investigative work to get the necklace back while risking his life in several ways. He says to her many times how much he loves her, and the big moment with her in his room that he does to get her to stay gets me every time, plus the look on her face as she's lightly biting her lower lip considering all he says. He starts out as a horny little bastard yes, but he does grow with her. So what if he gets whacked out by Charles twice, he still does what's right in the end.
Like you, I play these games for that one "true love" girl per game and not being led around just solely going for the nude scenes. To me, this aren't really porn games. They're story games which sex is a part of. Obviously when people are close to each other they are going to fall in love and have sex. In all the games in my sig (minus the two NLT games) I have a true love route with each girl that I never ever stray away from and I am very proud of myself for that.
