I'm not going to argue or make excuses about the speed of updates, yes, it's bad,
Of course, the most ideal thing would be if the updates came out more often,
Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it, only wait and hope that update will come out as soon as possible.

The original plan was that the updates should come out more often, but they would be smaller,
unfortunately only one update was released in this idea, and that was the last one
Last update was released in July 2021,
I don't think it's fair to blame Onyxdime, as far as I know he always completes his part of the job on time and in my opinion he does a great job

The plan of smaller updates wasn't the original plan though. It came after 6 months of talking about one final complete update and a day after the game got the abandoned tag here:

So, I take it that this is, yet again, more phantom progress ("trust me bro, I seen it!") EVERYONE that has come in here to defend ICSTOR has done essentially the same thing....make excuses, make grandiose promises, and then pretty much disappear when the shit gets too deep. (I gave up on this travesty YEARS ago, just thought I'd pop in to see if anything is happening, BTW) I would propose that this is alot of the reason that people that still long for this game treat posts like yours as smoke and mirrors (i.e. lies), and can't find it to trust anyone involved.

And 8 admins for Discord, etc??? That seems to be alot....kinda like damage control, or <damn it,I can't thing of the word I want here...Shit> Why so many?

EDIT TO ADD: Just for kicks, I thought I'd look at his website and stuff. Found this gem on his subscribestar page:

The only thing we need to see is the finished game, if another supposed deadline comes and goes, and nothing is presented, all hell's going to break loose here like it did nearly two years ago when the Sara update was released. It was total anarchy here before, during, and after that update dropped.

Words mean shit. If it comes out, and it's actually GOOD, then fine, a 3+ YEAR PROMISE of "the game's being released" will finally be fulfilled, but if it's crap, I'd run to the hills if I was ICSTOR, and all the people that supported him.

Taking THREE YEARS to complete a game that was promised to us many moons ago means nothing. NLT FINISHED ToN and is 75% through TGO while this game has been sitting at .71 (really 0.6 e) for eons now. No doubt who the better dev is there.

I think you're being a bit melodramatic with the whole "if Icstor breaks his promise for a release for the 5th+ time, THIS TIME all hell is going to break loose!!" This forum has already been in a pattern of breaking loose for years at this point. Trust has long since been broken if you're a rational person. I agree that the only thing we need now is a finished game, but I don't think anything will drastically change here if *shock* ICSTOR once again breaks their promise. I'm sure ICSTOR is able to wipe the tears of being called a scammer/liar with his 4000+ patron's money lmao. Even if it goes back down, ICSTOR is always going to have a sizable monthly income if thousands of patrons still believe in him despite not delivering on anything for years.

If you take a look, I've answered variations of this question a few times now.

For clarity:
No, there is no harem in the 1.0 release.
Doing so would delay the release by at least 3 months by my estimate.
The game absolutely deserves a harem route.
If ICSTOR wants to go down a harem route I would happily plan one out and work on it.
I don't know what ICSTOR's plans are though.

The only good thing about the delays, the harem ending should be included now

There are 5. main team members in total: ICSTOR, Onyxdime (writer), Koneser (programmer), Catis and DrPorni (3D artists)
and then 8. admins who take care of the discord server including me, the admins do not take part in the development of the game

Unfortunately, I don't have direct access to all renders, their progress or the overall completion of the game,
only to certain renders that were shared in the group thanks to which I know that it is being worked on, although of course I don't know how fast it is progressing
so I can't answer you

If some dispute arises from any service contract between 2 individuals the plaintiff shall bear a lot of fees because he needs to pay for drafting of claim and schedules, translation and attendance of judgments. Certainly you are entitled to reward these costs from the defendant (icstor) but success is dependent. In all cases legal costs for such litigation exceed the price of writing services regarding porn games. Obviously they entered into gentleman agreement for cooperation.

lol the dude's a lawyer. Even if he isn't a litigation expert, suing should be much less difficult and expensive for him than for the average person. And as mentioned, as long as there's enough money involved - which, looking at the Patreon numbers posted in this thread, there is - such costs start becoming negligible.

It still depends on the contents of the agreement.

A gentlemen's agreement can still be legally valid. It's difficult for me to imagine a legal professional allowing/causing such an agreement to come into existence under terms and conditions that are this heavily skewed against their favor. Especially with the amounts of dough involved.

And why would ICSTOR? Why would he endanger his wealth and income by neglecting to ensure that the proper licenses are in place for his cash cow? Without a license/IP transfer re: Onyxdime's writing, he'd expose himself and his collected Patreon wealth to easy-af cookie-cutter IP infringement litigation from Onyxdime. Sure, litigating over incest porn you wrote is embarrassing, but that shit goes out the window for most if there's enough money involved.

EDIT: the EU also has best-seller rights to protect authors. Don't know for sure how that would work after the Brexit but I think ICSTOR is in the EU and the UK likely has some equivalent.

I've said this before, but far as I see, you enjoy how things are turning out. You love shitting on this game and the dev so much that you don't actually want this game to be finished and the number of pages on an abandoned game speaks volumes of this. 1. There are Devs and artist that manage their own threats here. post their game and/or comics after 1 or 2 weeks for free.
2. There are game dev(s) had said here on F95 their work is free and the only reason they have a SubcribeStar/Patreon is so they can invest money on betther hardware and purchase assets to expand their games/comics etc...
3. No game/arts/videos are stored in F95, they are stored on shared sites like Gofile, Mega, Workupload etc...... and Devs/artist/or someone else link them here. So technically F95 is not a pirate site.

I love every time someone comes in to a thread and talks about it being a pirate forum and that it doesn't affect anything monetarily. But oh, what's that? Icstor goes into panic mode as soon as his game first got the abandoned tag ON THIS PIRATE SITE, and then goes on a spree of posts talking about updates and development after being radio silent. Oh what is this? His subscribers went up? Great! Oh shit we actually need to deliver something. Put out a small update to keep the rubes in line and we are good.

But wait there's more!

Game gets abandoned again and the subscriber count starts dwindling. Oh no what shall we do?! Send in Onyxdime! Where to? Oh right, none other than the PIRATE FORUM! Oh look, subscriber count is going up again! Imagine that! Oh no! Deadlines are missed! People are starting to question things. Whatever shall we do? Send in a discord mod! To, in your own words, "explain to people that work is still ongoing" but also for which you say your actions will have no impact and also no evidence other than your word (lol).

I think it is pretty clear to any would be developer that F95's mere presence and other sites like it, and the fact that there are 28k people on here at the current moment, has a pretty large impact on people finding and supporting these types of games. Not to mention this dev's immediate reaction when the game was first abandoned pretty much confirms that he knows, or someone on his team knows this as well.
