Hi everyone,

For those of you who don't know me, I'm the writer for the game.

I just wanted to make a short announcement regarding Caroline.

*There are some minor spoilers for 0.4 included within this post, so I would urge you to read at your own caution.*

I've been given some leeway to write scenes as I see fit based upon the images provided. In some instances, this has allowed me to develop characters' backstories beyond what ICSTOR had originally designed or envisioned.

In this instance I chose for Caroline to have several ex-boyfriends given that she's a young woman in her mid-twenties. It only seemed natural that she would have had some previous relationships by that age. I didn't anticipate that it would lead to a backlash in any way. I strongly disagree with some individuals' claims that she is "the town bicycle" or a "slut," but I'm not here to start an argument.

One of the purposes of Caroline's exes was to provide a sharp contrast of how they treated her, compared with how the player treats her. The nightclub scene served as an example of such. Gradually, as Caroline and the player do more together she realises that nothing is the same as it was with her exes. She gets butterflies in her belly with every kiss, she experiences pleasure that past partners never gave to her, and she learns that she might be able to have a healthy romantic relationship with the player.

Another reason I chose this is because I felt it fitted well with her character. Caroline is a character who strives for maturity and independence (Granted, she can't always achieve her goals on her own). It made sense for her to be proactive in her social life, as well as her work life. This is why I wrote her character as having multiple previous relationships.

The final reason is that Caroline is a character who enjoys sex. She's more than happy to use it as a reward for the player when they assist her in her shop. Why would such a character who is both fiercely independent and
positive about sex choose NOT to date and try to find a boyfriend?

I do apologise if you are unhappy with how Caroline's backstory has developed. Any blame for that lies entirely with myself, and not with ICSTOR. At present, I am working with ICSTOR to make small alterations, including editing away references to multiple previous partners. Thankfully, in this medium of art, nothing is set in stone and adjustments can quickly and easily be made to resolve potential issues.

The most productive conversation that can probably be had regarding this is: Are you happy with any of the women having former partners? (Obviously some like Linda require at least one former partner for logic's sake.)

If the answer is a resolute 'no', then I know I can irk away from it during future versions of this game.

I'll remain around for the next hour or so to answer questions - but it's an extremely active thread, so if I don't get back to you I'm probably swamped replying to other users.

Nah it`s fine,for a young woman this attractive not to have previous relationships/experiences would be strange,especially after all she already did with her younger brother.You might just tone it down a lil,choose different situations to talk about her ex`s,I was fine with it for the most part,it started to get annoying when she talked about her past in almost every sex scene.Other than that I like your writting.

Also just to point out i replayed the scene in question. Violet says she'll "probably" get Caroline to do the same thing to make things even. She then says she better make sure the favour Caroline owes her is worth it. To me that implies she'll want something more personnel rather than wasting it on getting Caroline to suck a friend of hers off. This is also before Violet robbed Caroline's store. If she even tries to suggest anything like that mc can just tell Caroline that and bam. This is ofc assuming Violet doesn't forget bout the favour owed out of guilt over what she did. Another angle is given Caroline's financial success now and Violet's comparative hardship she may straight up ask for money.

Man, I LOVE this game. The female characters are mostly gorgeous. Caroline is unreal and the bodies on these models are some of the best I have seen in any 3D game.
However, I HATE the climbing game,. It is REALLY pissing me off. I have had over 100 tries. The pulse is too fast and I can't time things right. I got three right once but fell to the ground on the next one.
Is there any way to slow the pulse down or skip the game altogether? This part is making me no longer enjoy it.

It means, typically, that they had a handful of longer term relationships, several shorter term ones lasting a few months each, and a few one night stands here and there.
3. The main character is on pace to fuck a dozen or more women, including every woman in his family/household, in a matter of several weeks to a few months. He's a turboslut, by the above standards.

I can understand why any extensive discussion of a partner's sexual history may be a turnoff, but let's at least adhere to a consistent standard that applies to both genders, yes? I guess we can stick with the double standard for another few thousand years, but I'd prefer not to.

The problem for me isn't the number of partners she's had previously, it's that it just felt out of character for her to be so vocal about having them. It would feel just as out of character for a more sensitive or good guy male to be as vocal about previous sexual encounters with other people while with the person he's currently with.
The way Linda spoke about her BJ skills wasn't as jarring because she seems to be a pretty sexual and sex starved woman at this stage in her life, I can imagine she reminisces a lot and her past is something she cherishes. Caroline on the other hand seems to have had a lot of bad experiences with her past sexual partners so it wouldn't make sense for her to talk about them like a point of pride.
Just my opinion. It's more a matter of what dialogues fit the character than it having anything to do with gender bias as far as numbers go.

Ok, so I tried to unlock the console commands following the instructions given on page 1 "change name". When I tried to load the game, after the developer screens, the game spewed a bunch of... hell, I don't know what it is, a list of exceptions. So, I take it either I did something wrong, swear I followed the instructions to the letter, or the option to unlock the console commands is no longer viable. The final line is an error "AttributeError: 'StoreModule' object has no attribute 'show_name'". Thing is, all I've done was drop that 'options.rpy' file in the game folder, then, with notepadd++, change the 00console.rpy folder per instructed "config.console = True".

So... what did I do wrong?

I lost a big chunk of my enthousiam for this game in this update.

Sure, the CG images and Videos are the best we have on the market (right now) but everything else left me a stale taste in the mouth.

The Caroline part was a nice trip of going nowhere and running in circle. A repeat with for only novelty a bland BJ at the end. I get it, the dev don't want to kill the cash cow just now and willl drags this story ad noseam.

More significant content with the aunt story but I just didn't like it. The whole set up and story flow felt lame and uninteresting to me.

I'm still interested in what he will do the Judy story (there's a lot of potential there with a rare fetish) but I got the feeling I will be heavily disapointed.
