Totally agree. I think that the big creators that make $10K to $40K per month should hire more people to do the work faster or buy high end parts for their pc to render faster. Higher core CPU's and stuff like that can cut HUGE amounts of time of renders and deliver updates faster. Or multiple PCs rendering. Something like this anyways - probably get more patrons as well with faster updatesYeah, some people seem to think more patrons should mean higher quality and quantity, when it really is the other way around. The high number of patrons are there because of the quality of the product up until now. Reminds me of people getting angry with Kickstarter projects when they get funded over 100% and don't deliver anything extra that wasn't promised originally.
It really is a different mindset. To me being a Patron means you like a person's/group's/company's work and would like them to be able to continue in the future so you throw them a few bucks every month or so. But to many being a Patron is more like an investment where they expect a return in a timely manner. I'd say both views are valid even if I don't necessarily agree with the latter. Afterall there isn't really a store where one could "purchase" these games outside of Patreon.
