Well, when you start playing new SS with cheating and avoid the repeatable or grindable content then you will end up playing after really same-ish amount of gametime.

Nice hand-drawn art and animation along with sizeable updates and a large cast of characters are worth taking 2 minutes to download a save
this guys is very clever, he knew he was taking too much to release the update and decided to add more content because clearly the best way to speed up your work is adding more work, and decided to update the game in a newer version of ren'py when he knew that would take a lot of effort and time, in his discord the admins suck his balls so hard that the patrons doesnt say a word because they get banned right away.

That's the type of mindset people essentially rely on to get rich on patreon. Everyone is thinking in singular terms. Problem is when you have 7,000 people going "oh it's the cost of a cheeseburger every month" all that adds up to essentially making the dev a millionaire. Guaranteeing slower updates/milking/etc. Individually supporters don't see it as a problem.My $5 contribution every thirty days isn't a large enough sum to make me feel milked. It's like buying a lottery ticket. I'm just throwing it out there hoping that it's the month I hit the jackpot.

The game isn't free though. He is not a generous samaritan blessing poor wankers with his creation. Working on the game is his full time job. He set the dates that he missed. The improvements he has yet to deliver on (faster updates, fully animated scenes) were layed out by himself.
I don't mind anyone supporting him but I also recognize that the reason the stream of bitching and moaning has become constant is because it is warranted.
As someone who is a writer, you're full of shit. The bible has roughly 800,000 words in it. You expect us to believe that a porn game has 8% of the content of the bible in it just for three characters? I'm sorry, but no. Most people have written essays, short stories and so on in their lives. We all have a general grasp on word count thanks to a crazy little thing called school. He's inflating the numbers and hoping no one will notice, and if he's not then he's wasting time puffing up the game with meaningless dialogue. It's a story about a family with women who all inexplicably want to fuck their extremely generic white guy son/brother. It would take a hell of a stretch for those figures to be accurate and not a massive waste of time.

This is just my opinion but I'm sure more than half the people complaining on here about the release haven't invested any money into this game. I get being let down by the creator taking so long with the release of the newest update (and constant delays) but ffs. I'd rather get a polished update than a buggy ass update (i.e. The Tyrant's recent updates). Dont get me wrong i hate having to wait for these games but I'd rather have no issues while playing it rather than the game suddenly crashing on me in the middle of a good part.

Whether the game is free here doesn't mean anything, ICSTOR doesn't release the game for free you have to be a $10 patron to get the game unless you pirate it. boxedjack was replying to a comment where mt2007 said ICSTOR works hard to release a free game which is why boxedjack said the game isn't free.
