My vague recollection is that you can only get in the "Latest Updates"-view once every 7 days, but I don't think you are disallowed from updating the thread more often. Of course the "Latest Updates"-thing is a good way to reach new players, hence it may make sense just to wait for the 7 days anyway (unless its a bugfix).
