Fish don't appear in your inventory. Check your food stat instead...

In the evening spend time in the living room. This is the place where you improve your relationship with the girls and learn about them(it did say so in the tutorial). Click on the highlighted armchair a tooltip will also pop up that says "Spend the evening". When she trusts/likes you enough you can ask her to show her boobs for motivation in the training field.

It depends. I think the grind isn't really bad and it get's easier the longer you play as you get access to more mechanics. In my opinion a slight challenge ads to the atmosphere and feeling of the game. But if you don't want to manage your ressources and prefer the visual novel parts over the gameplay, than easy mode is for you. (That is what I think atleast.) In the end I think that easy mode doesn't take away too much of the gameplay I had intended and is a good way to play.
in my opinion the combat and stamina system is well done as it work as a limitation to the progression that is slowly but permanently overcome, while the food thing is a bit meh, since the harvesting points are infinitely available. That is useless grinding. To me, it would be better if the food mechanic was made truly survival by adding many more locations to scavenge or eliminated completely (and so you would also need to make the garden a story content with no real food production involved).

It's just.... not necessary, as it is right now.

Hey!

Just finished the current content and loved it, but would like to give some minor feedback on at least the interface.

It's often a little all over the place to go from one place to another, one 'cancel / return' button being at the top left, the other at the top right, and all the several different menus all over the place quickly get unwieldy. It might be a good idea to keep a general layout that is as consistent as possible, with a cancel button always in the same place, an interaction button always in the same place, or even just a general hotkey to close whatever menu you are currently in?

Also, at the risk of you already having considered it, perhaps permanent buttons for the different rooms could always be open while in the house? Left to right clicking becomes a little tedious when wanting to check the rooms for potential new tidbits, I suppose that might just be the point though.

Other than that minor contention, I'm very much looking forward to more!

yeah that sounds like I need to remove the fail chance. :) Normaly you can easily get much more food.
I spend most of time thinking I'm going to starve to death. One trip to the barn everyday where I get my butt kicked. All these updates & I don't seemingly progress. Many days with ZERO progress or less, just maintaining my minimal food at the only place you can get it. No Progress with the one other character.

Positive note, the art looks good, wish I could have seen some of it.
Sorry 395games. Hope you improve what appears on the surface to be a pretty good game. I'd like to play it someday.

Just after posting the above, I finally made some progress, without doing anything different other than entering the "thisisit" code for the extra scene before calling it quits on this game. the "open the cellar" option and get the airgun appeared. We will see where it goes from here.
Thanks,
Captain Red
2 days Later, I finally got to the 2nd girl. Game is still extremely grindy, having to fight boars and cats and shadow men day after day with mimimal progress is pretty frustrating, but the game is finally to the point where I appreciate the plot and the work and the Art is different and quite good. At least the food thing is solved, but progress through the game when it was stuck for weeks for me and just the agonizing daily grinds with just the bare amount of stamina might be realistic or ?fun? for some, but is s big detractor from what has turned out to be a pretty good game(If you can forget the slow and no progress with the grinding through attacks with the stamina limitations.)
I got through to the end, very pleasing and enjoyable toward the last .
Good job on the back half, 395.

If you can't make progress through this game you're just not thinking straight. There's a pretty simple manner that you have to reach place x by expending minimum stamina. There's not much more to it. You can also escape a fight and keep story progress you've made, although you may lose food. It's usually as simple as "do the minimum stamina to win a fight and you'll make it to the next point". Eg, use the strong attack to survive, and the weak attack to conserve stamina, and progress with min hp and max stamina. There's nothing more complex to it than that. I played to the end of the available content in one afternoon on my first attempt. And actually, I had a blast. Like for the first time ever on a game from here, I enjoyed the game for what it was. Read all the content, and was more in it for the progress than the lewdness.

It's the most like a "proper" game I've ever seen on here. It's beyond the normal scope of a VN, and has real tactics involved, it feels way more like a Persona or similar that other people have lauded to try and recreate, simply because you repeat days over and over, but while having a very very clear direction. It's a real winner IMO.

The number one great thing about this game, is that you have to work hard to achieve a goal, and the goal is more survivors. It never even occurred to me before but what feels like a better motivator in a game like this, than to unlock more girls? I've never wanted to progress in a lewd game more than I do rn for those new lewds. Such a great idea to start with one, and have the goal of trying to get more.

There's a few cons. I would say searching for items is made way too easy with the magnifying glass overlay. It's basically go through each room and click the magnifying glass to proceed. If that could be expanded somehow, without going too far the other way and becoming a chore, you'd feel a lot more accomplished for finding the way forward.

The biggest gripe... Unfortunately the MC is just... intolerable. As always. I see the same thing in so many of these games - they're always so self-righteous, so smart, so right-all-the-time, so putting-stupid-women-in-their-place. If you were to strip all the porn out of this game, there's one thing that would keep it from being generally well received: the unlikeable MC. Your best bet and the most common RPG option: make them pretty much silent except for the options you choose. Second best bet? Make them a goofball. The worst option is for them to have deep, strung out opinions, argue with NPCs and put them in their place all the time. It allows no room to imagine yourself in their shoes and if you disagree with their mindset, it's kinda unsettling.

MC not anymore intolerable than all the rest. He's not out to revenge his wronged life, rape and pillage, sleep with his mother/sister/aunt/cousin and Grandma, drug/hypnotize, Mind Control, discredit, force or any of the many other permutations of other game plots.
And it is not meant to be a proper game in any way, it is a survival game where you have to grind frustratingly to get to the next level with the girl. Same essential premise there as all the rest. Very nice artwork style from the developer.
There are no "proper "games on F95zone. They may be somewhere else, but you aren't there playing them, you are here shopping this content. I'm pretty sure it is what we all like and are looking for or we would not be here for anything.
