The persistency is for those who want to have a complete gallery. It allows them to start a new playthrough if they really want all scenes and missed something. But I will also look for a way in the future to change the spend time feature to not be tied to the current events so you can get the 4th scene either way.

For Mia's 1st scene I just released 0.6a as a little fix on Patreon that should allow you to see it, as I had just realized that there was a way to skip it. That little fix also solves the issue of not getting the map from Robin that some experienced, just yesterday I finally realized how to fix it.

And for those who can't afford it while not drinking at all? How long would I have to wait till the update is ready on F95? I'm not trying to get personal, it's just hard for me without getting a job during the COVID pandemic.

a) You obviously don't fall into the group of people that Mister Boombastic was using as the basis for the joke. No-one with any heart/soul is making fun of anybody forced into extreme conditions.
b) Beggars can't be choosers. I'm not calling you a beggar, it's the expression/proverb.
I am not a paying Patron, so have to wait. If we can't afford / do not want to spend $4.50 then we have no option but to wait.
With regards "how long", it's been discussed and answered in the thread already. You could very easily use the search function to find your answer, but I'll save you the effort: The update was released to Patreon on 21st Nov. It usually follows here roughly 1 week after. 0.5 was released here quicker, but 1 week after Patreon release is your general expectation.

Does it really work that way? In that case I made some stupid Patreon deals in the past... I thought it just started counting the day you subscribed (so 20 Nov - 20 Dec for example)

SubscribeStar works that way. Patreon bills on the first of every month, no mat4er when you first signed up.

I'd always trust the security on your device, especially if it is turning into a squirrel

It's probably down to where you downloaded it from, I only use Mega, as it is very safe, the other sites that are often used always spam me with pop up adverts, and send warnings etc
