As expecteddevelopment of 0.8 is going pretty smoothly. I got sick last week which cost me a few days of worktime, but I am pretty sure that I am still able to deliver the update before the end of the month. Which means this will be the last Monday Update before the release of 0.8.

Everything new:

• The writing is almost done. Only one last event from the upcoming patch needs to be written still. I purposely left it till the end.
• I animated and rendered 2 new scenes. This brings the count to 6 in total, more than I ever did before in one update and the final number for 0.8.
• I made a few new animations.
• And some additions to an existing background that will be important for the story.
• I did another pass of grammar corrections on what I have written already.
• And I completely remade the sprites(the moving images behind the textbox) for Robin. Her expresions are basically the same, but her lighting was really flat in the old ones and I wanted to change that.
• I've also written a few new events when spending time with the girls.

That is all for the last two weeks. As I said I got slowed down by getting sick, but I am still on track to deliver the update on time, just not a little bit earlier like I had hoped for a while.

What is now left is to write the patches last event this week and spend the rest of the time polishing and bugfixing and tweaking everything until I release the update.

Sorry but i'm still a bit confused, she and the other entity were created by the lab trying to introduce magic into science right? What exactly was the shrine the MC found inside the lab? And Why does Noreia feel guilty if it was the lab that "created" her? Thanks in advance!

Was the shrine the one with the gooey tentacle monster? I think it was one of the lab's early experiments.
In Noreia's case, I think she believes that the MC might be bothered by, if not outright resent her for, the fact the she and the other entity, whom will be known henceforth as Directoreia, are eldritch monsters from God-knows-what-dimension.

It sets the bar so high that I can no longer enjoy most of the games in this forum.

The story is amazing, the renders are incredible, the characters are cute and even the text is decent. I wish we had more games like that.

Have played the game twice already, it's damn good!
even without sex it has good storytelling, great characters and it's very atmospheric!
This game should definitely be on steam!
can't wait to play the next story update!

please stop, the game is decent, the animations are indeed excellent, the atmosphere is there but it's not some grand work of art. The script is very mediocre(how is that considered decent? Are you perhaps Martial God Asura Enjoyer level or something??), the heroines are your typical archetypes you see in all other games nothing original. Again the game is good in some areas in some it isn't, but extolling it like that baselessly only does more harm than good

i have to disagree with you friend
i say this game is very good and easily in my top ten, yes the art is not very good but you have to know that dev is using blender not daz and he has to make everything from scratch.
Also the gameplay and story is good and unpredictable its fun watching story unfold.

WHAT????? the art not good? Different yhea, it is not trying for photorealism and goes for expression and art style in my book it is a plus! Also it ages better. look at any game that try for photorealism from 15 years ago vs a more cartoony one. one aged better than the other. I love the artstyle it is different frome all others I have played on this site. if you find an other one show it to me so we can compare. but I am prety sure MIST good, it is well composed and ther renders carry more than just images.

The stylized Blender art style of the characters is, for me, one of the game's strong points. Especially in an ocean of VNs using Daz3D or HoneySelect models. Not only that but the visuals are elevated by 395games' skillful use of light and shadow. Only a handful of titles posted here have decent, let alone, good lighting. Your models, realistic or otherwise, fall flat visually if you just blast outdoor lighting in an indoor setting, among other things.

I didn't say the art is not good i said not very good if compare it to daz high quality models and backgrounds, personally i like the art it's unique.

I am reading new novel every week and I have been reading for past 20 years every day longer than you are alive kid. I know what I am talking about when I evaluate the script. It is by no means breathtaking writing. There is an element mystery which is rare but the dev didn't discover America. Perhaps he has the capability to do so, I don't know, but this being the porn game he has to focus on other things more and he doesn't have a team of developers. Under the circumstances great job, especially when you take a look at grim jokes like Summertimesaga which has dedicated writer and all dialogue reads like a work of primary schooler at best(very generous evaluation, I wouldn't even use it as a napkin if it was written on one. Bland, ghastly and undercooked). Also to clarify, I am not a hater, I am a bear.

Sir, You are farting above the hole considering you are annonymous on a porn forum. You say that you read a novel a week. good for you, but here you are missing a point. ( From what I gather from your short presentation) like you said the dev has other tasks as well as riting and vou are comparing apple and oranges when you compare the riting of Mist to that of a novel. The medium isn't the same. you can have brillinat riting and a dull story, those aren't the same. Granted as a VN mist's riting is important but as their is also a visual aspect to the game a more apt comparison would be a comic book, a BéDé or manga. compared to those ( and I have read a few ) I would say the riting is good. And more praise worthy as I suspect the Dev isn't even an anglophone.

And as a bear you should be warry of catapults as you will end up using one as a mean of transportation.

MIST is an underappreciated game, and should be recognized for accomplishing nearly everything it sets out to do.

The animations are smooth and well-produced, the visual style is fresh and instantly recognizable, the atmosphere is nicely established, and the music choices are spot-on. I love all the character designs, too. After the last update, the game feels like it's hitting a whole new different stride. The story and gameplay can start moving in all sorts of interesting directions, and the sex scenes will undoubtedly keep up with the overall development, getting more expansive over time. The potential of where the game could go is only gaining momentum. For me, MIST is shaping up to be one of the best adult games on this site. It is a thoroughly enjoyable experience from top to bottom, highly recommended to anyone who enjoys adult visual novels, or hell, classic adventure games in general.

The game never had a highly literate script because it never needed one, most of the storytelling is done either visually or through little exposition scenes. As for the character development, it will start to develop alongside the progression of the plot; that's how the game functions. We should be encouraging the developer, giving them credit for hitting massive goals, instead of complaining about the game not achieving what it never tried to do in the first place.

Please, son, stop exaggerating your credentials. I am actually the Pulitzer winning author Richard Ellmann. I was forced to reveal my identity because of your exceedingly bullshit story. I will have you know that I read two new novels every hour. But I have given up writing and am solely focused on critiquing pornography on an anonymous internet forum. Next year I will compile a book with all of my reviews on this website and will submit it to Pulitzer again.

I haven't heard about a redesign, but I'd suggest playing it anyway. It's really fucking good imo.

There was a redesing of some erlier parts of the game between 0,7,1 and 0,7,2 but I havent heard from the different progress updates posted here that there will be an other rework of the begining for 0,8,0. I think you may be confusing the two.

Ihavent personaly replayed that part of the game since I played 0,7,1 bu I plan to redo it in 0,8. If it is your first time playing have a go at it. it is a great game with multiple great gameplay elements.
