Your dedication to finishing your projects before starting new ones is appreciated. I've seen other devs branch off too often and lose sight, which inevitably delays progress on the thing people are paying for.
Casino is part of the capital, right? I figured we were around the 60% mark, but I didn't want to assume too much. I don't think it would be realistic to say that version number would be a 1:1 progress bar since stuff like sex scenes, cgs, side content, etc is harder to measure since we don't have a progression bar of sorts for future content. I'd argue that side content based on its overall relevance to the main game could be counted as part of development progress. Otherwise, I'd say it's more indicative of "filler" or the equivalent of DLC in terms of whether players want to engage with it or not.
I'm actually surprised you didn't just make the side content into mods, but I also get why you didn't.

I jest, but I don't know that there are too many demons from SMT that would work in this kind of game. Actually, I'm surprised that we haven't seen fairies yet.

I would be incredibly disappointed if Mara was the demon queen. She looks old as heck.
dude.. all of the arch succubi (and other strong monster girls) are like hundreds of years old.
Most of them do not look the part, rarely do you see any powerful succubus that does not look like a teenager, or at most someone in her early 20s, unlike Mara, who definitely does not look young by any means.

It's part of my working theory... the Demon Queen is someone we know from town, and Mara is a likely candidate imho. The color-shifting eyes and her general vibe make her my #1 suspect. If she's NOT the DQ, then she's someone... one of the Generals, a top advisor, something waay up in the DQ hierarchy, fo sho.

I've got a 100:1 on Ancilla, she just left her job as DQ to help her friend recover and never feels like she's trying too hard in fights. It's not her but you never know.

I honestly think the demon queen is a character we have yet to even see. Mara is a good candidate, but I feel kinda doubtful about it
Yeah, Mara feels more like a sub boss for the Capital than anything. I wouldn't be surprised if it's Vivian since both her and Mara have some sort of weird amulet which makes me think they are linked. Honestly I would generally prefer a new character than have a "It was me all along" moment near the end.

The Demon Queen being anything other than a new character would be incredibly disappointing.
You can't hype up a character as the main villain of the game with defeating them being your main goal from the start and then later on reveal that they were just some random person that you already met and interacted with.

Biggest issue is she'd have to be an almost unstoppable force of sexual prowess. Kotone has the hypnosis down. Oni twins are basically multi-partner/interchangeable fetish content. Amy is the "Jesus Christ, how horrifying" fetish stuff covered. Vili is tits town. Mika is borderline ass perfection. We have at least 2 types of plant girls who fulfill that role. Elves for vanilla shit. Nara got them hips that definitely told a few lies.
Honestly, it'd either have to be an existing character who satisfies expectations, or it has to be something in the ever-narrowing pool of "safe" fetishes that hasn't been done yet. I just don't want another Monster Girl Quest where the endgame waifu is boring af while the stuff leading up to her is some Cthulhu-inspired bs.
