It shouldn't even appear, it's a field-only spell (seriously, who can meditate during a fight?).
... That's the joke. Meditation is based off of the move from Dragon Quest, where Final Bosses could use it and heal 500 HP at once. That's why Alice acts so incredulously when Luka can do it, because it's not something he should just be able to do (but can, because he's part fallen angel, and loosely references how he's related to the final boss).

(I know that's from Final Fantasy I, I'm just including it here to illustrate the point; being able to heal yourself to max health is indeed hax)

Beyond that, this is a turn-based RPG game where a monster girl will very casually walk over to Luka, give him a handy/blowie/kiss/puff-puff/etc, and he just stands there without thinking to dodge unless he's got Sylph or Undine to help him out (not to mention all those battlefuck games where that's the main combat style). Healing half his health for a turn isn't that much of a stretch.

RIP, me. I got stuck in the second level of the Pyramid after solving the multi-colored Levers puzzle and getting the oil lamp and Sand Sphere. Did the hint "Take only what you need" mean that I shouldn't have kept opening up treasure chests like a true murder-hobo? Also I've been trying to interact with every Sphinx statue that I see as soon as I got the Sand Sphere (lol).

As for the whole game itself. It's good. It really is. The RPG combat is pretty standard yet passable. However, I love how the added anti-grind mechanics makes a lot of sense in the context of the lore. I mean, why would you expect feral monster girls to be carrying any form of currency on them? Especially the ones who go around buck naked (lol). It's nice to see human bandits dropping some gold though.

Story-wise, I love how you're fleshing out the world of MGQ by adding to or adjusting the canon's lore. Makes it a little more immersive and fascinating to explore. The added/adjusted dialogue and addition of new characters (with their own sprites to boot!) makes the people of this fictional world seem like, well, people.

The dragon can illuminate many colors. Try it again. To pass there you need to beat 3 puzzles. this hint is about a puzzle, this is a main quest, so of course, I wouldn't include a way for you to get stuck purposefully. Though, you should "control your greed" anyway.

Thanks for the tip! I finally got past the Pyramid thanks to that! Here's a bug that I found on Lily's Mansion. Once you get to the lowest level of the dungeon you can't go back up the stairs. It's a good thing I saved outside of the mansion prior to finding this bug.

EDIT: I did not want to double post so I decided to add 2 other bugs here.

Here is Joshua blocking the entrance to the outside of his family's house.

Here, after getting defeated and being sent back to the checkpoint prior to fighting Gnome I still got the "Strength of the Earth" Skill (lol).

And I finally finished! Again, Good work on this game, man! Looking forward to the next parts!

I have to say man, you removing the Vore scenes for me was an excellent idea, the reason for that isn't even because the scenes make me uncomfortable, it's because to me they don't make sense.

I'll say one thing, my opinion, I've always doubted the intelligence of many monsters, after all Luka is literally the "perfect companion for any monster" besides being very "yummy" according to them, his seed is strong and can certainly generate descendants strong enough to spawn even new monster subspecies, but are there some monsters that would rather drain he to death or eat you rather than keep you?

This is like the story of the farmer who cut the golden goose.

Yeah, that's the main reason why the "Original Version" changes only the sex scenes but not the story itself. If the reason for war is the lack of males for the monster girls, why the fuck would they kill them?

Sincerely after replaying the VN again to decide on the changes I'd make on the remake, I've noticed that Torotoro has never actually shown what the monster girls actually are. Some of them are animals, some of them live as people in villages, some of them live in castles, some of them live disguised as humans, some of them are created by magic, and some are mythical. While I was thinking about it, it was impossible for me to trace any kind of connection to them that linked them to the Monster Lord or any organization at all. It was that vague. And Luka never recognized that there was more than one type, everything was monster girl.

This is the main reason why when I began making the remake, I took the world a little more seriously and tried to envision something that could actually exist, rather than being so vague.

Right, so I decided to pull up the script of MGQ, and looked up why the war started.
A long time ago, humans coexisted with monsters.
Monsters lived in human villages with men in harmony.
They still had some quarrels between the races at times...
But even then, it never turned into a serious conflict.
However, 30 years ago a huge incident occurred.
In Remina, a town near the Monster Lord's castle, there was a huge slaughter.
Monsters suddenly attacked the city, turning it into a scene from hell.
As a result, Remina was destroyed and only ruins remained.
A horrible tragedy that didn't leave a single survivor...
Ever since the [Slaughter of Remina], the relationship between Humanity and monsters changed.
They forced monsters out of human towns, and wild monsters started to attack people.
The Monster Lord who ruled over the other monsters declared war on Humanity.
Both sides had now come to hate each other.
...But the degree of that hate seems to vary by area.
Though there are locations that hold intense hatred, it's said that a few locations where man and monster coexist still remain.
Like the difference in areas, there are also some people who do not believe monsters are evil.
Saying that, there's no denying that humans and monsters were able to live together peacefully at one point in history.
So rather than it being due to some sort of "men shortage", it's because the Slaughter of Remina happened. Beyond that, however, the "war" itself is based on a misinterpretation.
Alice: "Only in self-defense are you allowed to exert power".
That was my only command to the monsters.
It must have gotten distorted when it reached human ears.
I don't want a full-scale war.
Luka: Exert power not to rule humans, but only in self defense...?
But then why was Granberia attacking Iliasburg!?
[...]
Alice: Granberia has always insisted that the Ilias Temple is the ringleader of evil.
It's a Hero manufacturing facility that churns out Heroes to fight monsters.
She argues that destroying it is self-defense.
As a theory it's... not too far off the mark.
The people who call themselves Heroes are pretty unsightly.
Aside from the already burgeoning resentment towards humans concerning the Slaughter of Remina, Alice's words were used as justification for all kinds of acts, nevermind the assorted ne'er-do-wells that do whatever they want regardless, such as Lady's Village.

did you reuse that same image h-scene or just using the same but with another text?

Hey, how are you? I hope you are well, anyway, I'm looking forward to the future of this game, but I also came here to say that your game helped me a lot to write my fanfic (if you want, check the link here: )

So I want you to know that, thank you, your game helped me A LOT to realize many of my ideas

Sorry if this is a dumb question, it's been a while since I've played and I'm about to start it up again... What's the best way to unlock all the sex scenes?

If I recall, you had to lose by that specific sex scene in order to unlock it - which wasn't the best system in my opinion because you had to keep losing over and over and over hoping randomness would give you the scene you're looking for.

Bosses' scenes are unlocked automatically when you beat them, the consensual ones are unlocked when you accept them, and for mob, if they have more than one scene, the game picks one randomly, the second time you lose, the game will know which scene you saw and choose another one, once all scenes are unlocked, it will just pick one randomly. Ilias will always tell you when the monster girl has another scene you didn't see in her evaluation.

Thx for the clarification.

You've done a really great job, probably a top 3 game on f95zone. Will drop a good review sometime this next weekend after I play the latest version. I really like your vision for monster girl quest's plot and theme, keep up the good work! :)

Good day, Unknown Developer! I remember reading in one of your posts here that you actually used Hent-AI and DeepCreamPy for decensoring some of the H-images that you used for Monster Girl Quest Fan Remake. How did you get them to look so clear? I also use both programs together for trying to decensor H-images. Unfortunately, they still end up having significant blurs (especially for Mosaic decensoring). Do you have some technique that you use for better image outputs from the DeepCreamPy process?

Yeah, using only that can only get you so far. But it still makes the image a hell of a lot easier to manually edit it, adding the details like lines, than using the mosaic version. Sometimes you get a result so good using the AIs that you barely need to add anything, the case of that Elf scene I got from Violated Hero 1. I really got impressed with that.

It's good to see that you're still very active, and you're working and also clearing your doubts.

Or to be honest, this is one of the worst times to be a fan of MGQ, after all, everyone is hyped about part 3 of the MGQP that never arrives, and most of the fanfics and other contents of this universe are "half stopped", which makes the wait even more agonizing.

But we're all going to get through it, and when part 3 comes out, I'm sure the community will explode again.

Possibly stupid question: how does one access recall scenes? Do I have to lose to them first?

Also I don't get the hatred for turn-based RPGs. They're not outdated, they're cool.

Talk to Alice on camp sites or inns and she will take you to the gallery (Monster Girl Book)
