I think the answer you are looking for is, that the bosses are the characters scattered around the room. You can not fight them from the library, you have to talk to them for the fight. To make them respawn just leave and reenter hades.

Is anybody else using steveju's patch at ? How do you use it with the Evasion Fix from ArzorX's bitbucket? They both have a file named Patch.rb, can we even merge the two?

For reference, here's what steveju's patch does:
Well ArxorX's Patch slightly changes the default 'Patch.rb' to better organize things (A few additional lines to read other Patches in that folder) while Steve Judd seems to have just dumped everything into 'Patch.rb'.

Without doing much effort...
Remove Steve Judd's Patch Header and commented out their Evasion Fix, rename it to 'Steveju_Patch.rb'

Somewhat odd that neither of them translated the Patch Header Error Message.

Isnt this patch obsolete? It was made in may 2019, also according to change log

That is present in the Arzor-X's translation. Also having that patch changes in battle talk: "affinity" to japan text
