tried to redownload? or did you get the same result with the error? if yes, i dont really know then
I downloaded V. 2.23, afterwards I dowloaded the patches for 2.23 to 2.3, then 2.3 to 2.31, then 2.31 to 2.32, 2.32 to 2.34 and then 2.34 to 2.35. I got the download for the patches here, it was from a post some months ago I think?

i think the problem might come from having to update the version, maybe somethings gone wrong in the process, or something was faulty in the patch.
but the version available from the front page, at least the nopy one link, works fine, though some post-collab chapter content is not translated yet.

I see, that was actually a really helpful information.
I already had the 2.23 Version, that was why I had only downloaded the patches.
But since there is a download of the full game at the front page, I can try that instead.
( I don't know why I didn't try to look the first page .__.)

Assuming you extracted them all to the Main Game Directory when you updated you should also have the txt file changelogs that come with them.

For smaller download , apply all incremental updates in order from masterdragonson's post, unless you want to download 3GB instead 200MB, also use his pre-patched files

or alternatively I downloaded MGQ Paradox 2.35 Data 03-16-2021.rar is this a single update? do i need the previous update files or no?

That is pre-patched translated files, not game update, use it after updating game (~200MB) with all incremental updates
Those are only the translation files so you will be missing all the pretty pictures/sound that you came for.
One way or another get to 2.35. Use uchihafabio's if you get confused/hassle free otherwise save yourself some time/bandwidth and update incrementally.
Apply the updated translation when you are done.
