I greatly appreciate that you continue to freely place your products on this forum. I'm not sure a lot of developers understand that having the ability to "test drive" the product here actually increases sales and popularity for the story. I don't think I've said this before but, I have purchased both Love of Magic and Morningstar on Steam. I have, just now, wish listed Wings of Empire there as well. While being a monthly supporter on Patreon just isn't my thing I am happy to support quality products like yours through a Steam purchase.
Agreed, if I hadn't seen it here, I wouldn't have known about it.
I have this and all three books of Love of Magic on Steam.

Agree.

I find a lot of games on here and those I enjoy that get Steam releases I end up buying there.

So far i've bought all 4 of this devs games because I enjoy them and want more games in the future. I'm just about to try the next game through Morningstars beta and that's probably going to be the 5th game I buy from this dev.

I've never been a fan of monthly subbing for games like on Patreon etc... That and I like to keep my game collections in place like GoG or Steam.

When games are worth it then it's a no brainer. the LoM games have a lot of content and I love the characters and stories. More content was just added to Book 2 so deff can't complain. This was also well worth the buy.

Usually this devs games are a "shut up and take my money" but now i'm leaning towards "please slow down and think about my poor bank balance"....

This was only a short one, he's already started on the next.
Not quite sure I agree; it's a single book one, not a trilogy like Love of Magic, but in terms of content there's more content in Morningstar than in any one of the Love of Magic books. The regular calendar is pretty packed (only 4 out of 113 days don't have an event somewhere), and there's a whole lot more side-quests than in LoM.

Development wise it was somewhere between 18 and 24 months (depending on how you count the official launch), which is also longer than any one of the LoM books.

I didn't mean short as in lacking content, I meant it wasn't as long a story as LoM.

If it lacked content, it wouldn't be in my Steam library :p

I'm using a mac and I get the error "The application "Morningstar" can't be opened". Is this only for intel based mac?

There's a minor typo in the terminal code it's morningstar_osx_1_1_0b not morningstar_osx_1_1_0d

so it should be:

xattr -rc "/Users/xxx/Desktop/morningstar_osx_1_1_0b/morningstar.app"
sudo chmod -R 755 "/Users/xxx/Desktop/morningstar_osx_1_1_0b/morningstar.app"

Loved what i've seen of Wings so far too, that's a must buy.

I'd buy it for Keira alone, she is in the running with Bella for top girl.

Edit - I take it back, Ao is awesome. Deff top girl.

Ao is less of a central character than Keira; a bit like Jalsa, she weaves in and out of the story as a supporting character. I wanted a take at what heavy-grav world adaption would look like, so she's a little bit ripped :)

Do you have any new projects lined up?

Yupp, next up is Wings of Empire; it's a space opera set in a world where the Roman empire never fell, but made it to the stars.

If you've got Morningstar on steam the first 13 days is sitting on the development branch there, where it'll sit as I work on it towards early access (probably after completing Act II).

If it sounds interesting, drop it a wishlist here so it can succeed at launch:

Everyone with half a brain loves Rogue Trader. Warhammer 4k old school RPG. What's not to love?!

Even all the 12y/o basement dwellers with power fantasies should love it,
if only they could read more than a text message worth of text that is....

Anyhoo, Droid Productions

Fuckin' A! I am sold already!

Now should I go with Biggus Dickus or Naughtius Maximus? Decisions, decisions!
