Pretty simple really... an IVF procedure using (non-futa) donor sperm and combining that with Amelia's egg and/or Michelle's egg. Surprisingly enough Amelia admitted in a recent update she's had plenty of sex with guys, and while in the moment it was pleasurable, in the end the guys were completely forgettable... but she didn't mind getting railed. Michelle has always been the more dedicated lesbian, who not only was not interested in men, but also felt open disgust or distaste in dicks. While it's true she briefly had a fling with Amelia's father, that was more a means to an end and not something she did out of lust/sexual or romantic attraction.

In any case, I think this recent introduction is possibly moving the VN away from a more strictly lesbian focused story with the introduction of magically/scientifically created futas... and for what? Just to create a loophole for Amelia to get pregnant? I thought it was a nice sentimental throwaway line/wish for her to have, but I don't think it's something absolutely needed to center this story around.

This has been foreshadowed since the start of the game when Michelle had that dream featuring Tara, the old goddess/succubus/demoness, after wishing she could get her daughter pregnant.

So people really need to stop being butthurt or making a tempest in a teacup over this and acting with some "surprise Pikachu face" when it finally happened.

I dont think there should be any worry about fanbase. sure some lesbian fans are mad but the incoming futa fans will replace them.

I for one thought the futa content was obvious due to the initial dream sequence.

The simple answer could be that watching an ivf procedure would be boring to anyone but nerds. The even simpler one being that Bwg likes futanari too. After already having a character, Tara, that can become one, he wanted to incorporate this feature more. And making Amelia pregnant appeared like a convenient way to introduce this element. Hard to tell which idea came first, making Amelia pregnant and using a futanari as a tool or using futanari to it's full extent and make a character pregnant.
Frankly we don't know about Amelia's past (before coming to America) that much. It's not hard to imagine that she would try dating boys first and found it lacking. Then she would try it with girls and found it more to her liking.
This world is very much like ours, thus it's safe to assume that there are transsexual people. But real human hermaphrodites don't exist. Of course Michelle would be curious when coming across one. Yes, it seemed a bit out of character that she would jump one, but you can deny the doctor's offer. Which is what I will continue the next update from. At most I think she would like to see if her "equipment" was functional. Even the doctor is wondering why is Michelle asking so much about the properties of her cum if you let the scene play out to it's conclusion. Of course she was simply surprised at first and curious about this unusual sight. Then it occurred to her that that could be a way to get Amelia pregnant. Yes, I think that's the main reason why Michelle was so anxious to know more about Asa's appendage.

Sadly, (pure) lesbian games have a smaller audience than games with futanari, let alone with male LI's. MLS could gain a bigger audience this way. From a purely personal perspective a game with a mother and daughter having a baby together is unique. One other game is currently in production that will have a daughter impregnating her mother and sister, which is similar, but the other way around. But that's it.

Nop, I believe indipendent of the choices it will always be Regina and Chloe pair because like Sydney said: A mother daughter fuck club, where there they exchange daughters so yes imo it will always be Regina and Chloe.

Lot of spelling correction throughout the game.
